I completely understand this is off subject but when you are excited as i am, you just want this to get out!

My 360 got the 3 red lights of death recently and microsoft screwed up and said i'm still under warranty and it was their fault that it says that (i bought mine a year and a half ago) so they are paying to get it repaired!

oh yeah FYI i've been talking to this guy for awhile now and he says the main reason 360's break are because you plug it into a surge protector (the outlet strips) this slowly eats away at your compenents inside and causes it to do the 3 red lights. so ANYBODY that has a 360 just plug it directly into a wall!

he was telling me exactly how surge protectors work, and that the 360's BIG grey power block is a surge protector itself, that if you plug into another protector it doesn't give the 360 enough power and it just wears out the fan ect... if you want an exact explination call up the support line and ask.

That's why you plug it directly into the wall and not an outlet strip (which usually have surge protectors on them)

He also told me that microsoft has yet to send this info out yet

You do know that they recently extended the warranty on the 360, right?

yeah, they extended it from 3 months to a full year. i said i got my 360 a year and a half ago

Im on my 3rd 360 myself

You pretty much have to keep it cool. Im going to buy a mini fridge and put it in there to keep it cool
