Title pretty much says it all. Is Custom Edition available for Macintosh? I know the main thread says no, but those posts are a bit old, so I was hoping there would be an update or something.

Thanks,
-Casey

It will NEVER come out for mac. Bungie hates mac users. In fact, pretty much everyone does. I dont really know why.

Before this little PC vs. Mac brushfire explodes into an all out -blam!-storm, let me re-iterate that what OS a person uses if thier personal choice. Granted there aren't many games for Macs, which kind of turns off a lot of the gamer people.

Correct me if I'm wrong.. but didn't Bungie make games for the Mac? Before Halo?

Yes, until they started for the PC, then MS took them over.

I suppose Halo for the Mac was just keeping a promise they made to Mac users many years ago. ;)

Okay, then I'm not just remembering something that didn't happen... again...

ZOMG! Mi M4c can B00t up lik, so, FAST! Itz zo mch gr43ter than xp nw!
Retards aside (not Obi Wan): As far as I know, Halo: CE is not coming out for Mac anytime soon. Hell, they're not even coming out with patches for Halo: PC, let alone converting an already old addition to it so it'll work for Mac.

Just to let all you guys know, Bungie does not hate macs, and Halo was going to be for PC and Mac first. The first public viewing of Halo was during Steve Jobs' keynote speech for Macworld Expo in 1999.

SpazzySpartan you are correct, Bungie made Mac games before Halo, and very few original Bungie games ever came out for Windows.

Macintos should never be blessed with halo one or two, because it is an old computer and also the mouse dosen't have two buttons and everything on them is backwards

We don't want your opinion on macs or windows or anyone else's, just answer his question and go on.

Bungie Studios was originally a Mac exclusive developer, see Myst and Marathon. Microsoft picked them up when Halo was in pre-production.

I remember seeing a thread in which a Mattblusomethingorother begged for a Mac CE (obi wan might know this). It was a Mac/PC argument that went on for 8 pages before it was locked. Let's not let that happen again. OS Wars are stupid, and they lead everyone nowhere, and sometimes, a couple steps backwards.

I like me.

Unfortunately, no. That would rock, but it's actually Gearbox's fault.

iMightBeRusty I could not agree with you more, I also do not want to see this become a big fight, and I don't want this to be taken as being aggressive.

I quote HolySpooF on this: "Macintos should never be blessed with halo one or two, because it is an old computer and also the mouse dosen't have two buttons and everything on them is backwards"

Macs already have Halo 1 and yes the new mice do have more than two buttons, and Macintosh computers don't use BIOS, which for you forum readers that are not very computer savvy, are a way of booting an OS. Microsoft has always used BIOS, since the beginning of the company. In fact BIOS system dates back to the 1980's as a way of booting an OS. Now what does that say about a company, too lazy to invent a new way to start a OS. Speaking as a Mac user I am disgusted at that. I choose to use a Mac because of that. Why buy from a company that is not innovative?

Custom Edition? Where do you get it? I thought halo CE stood for Halo Combat Evolved? WTF!

holy spoof this only shows how uninformed you are and rude you are being, commenting on a forum post and not even looking to see what it is about. And the funny part about all of this is that it says Custom Edition in the title of the post too.

people like you really piss me off....
Let's say that you (holyspoof) have a small mc donald's strawberry milkshake (windows)...And I have a Jonny Rocket's Extra Large Malt Chocolate Shake (mac). Now, I know for a fact that I enjoy having my shake way more than your shake because it is bigger and tastier and easier to drink, but your strawberry shake is smaller and more common, so you get more choices with it, (for example, sprinkles, whipped cream, etc...)....that doesn't make it better than mine, it just means there's more of those weak little shakes in the market than my giant one. If you people would be willing to at least give macs a fair chance, you will see that they are just as good, if not better than windows....they are just a bit less common, that's all.
