A big pointy stick. Maybe with dog poo on the end. That'll show the Covenant scum!

I like that idea. It could be a double weilded weapon. maybe, a flaming bag of dog crap. screw grenades. theres nothing that strikes fear in the heart of a grunt like a bag of dog crap as big as you.

If there was any weapon you could add to Halo 2 from any game or possible real life experience (yeah right), what would it be?

Two of them actually, the second one being my favorite because it's just so different...

The M24-B Reaver Chain Gun: A Heavy Support Weapon which Halo lacks. Large caliber rounds, insane firing rate and long range. Drawbacks. Takes a full second to cycle up to speed in order to fire. While firing, limited to walking speed only as the gun bucks in your arms and you have to fight to keep the reticle on your target. Due to its complete lack of accuracy it is normally held as best as possible in the general direction of your enemy.

This weapon, normally mounted in fixed positions can be held aloft by a Spartan and it cycles multiple chambers via an electic motor and battery.

Special Note by Gen. Anders: All attempts to use this weapon in Spartan Simulated Combat drills show that not even Spartans can wield this Reaver in Close Quarters. All who have tried have failed. At close range any Elite or Spartan can easily leap out of the firing arc the moment they hear the Reaver powering up. Once firing it cannot turn fast enough due to the recoil to follow the target.

Primary Purpose: Infantry Suppression
Secondary Purpose: Anti-Vehicle
AVAILABILITY: Rare
ZOOM: None
ROUNDS - DEFAULT: 480
ROUNDS LOADED PER USE: Chain Fed
MAX AMMO CAPACITY: 1920
ROUNDS FIRED PER SECOND: 40
RELOAD TIME: 8 seconds (Only needs to be reloaded when new ammunition is found)
MELEE RATING: Impossible
HIT DAMAGE: 60-80 DU per Round.

MX-3 Grapple/Rapple Gun

Assigned to Spartans and ODST's performing special assignments the MX-3 is used to access areas and engage enemies where they least expect it. Physically the device resembles an overlarge pistol with an extendable stock and can sometimes be mistaken for a single shot grenade launcher at first glance.

The gun fires an advanced alloy piton with extreme velocity, trailing a cord created using carbon nano-tubes. Once imbedded in rock or metal, three prongs drill backwards, mooring the piton to sufficiently support the weight of a half ton Spartan. Once imbedded the person using the piton can wind in the cord, ascending, by pressing the "in the right thumbstick". He can unreel, lowering himself, by pressing the "Left thumbstick". While suspended in the air he can look freely by using the right thumbstick as normal and can shift his weight, allowing him to swing with the left thumbstick. Other options include jumping off of a surface for faster downwards movement and greater swinging arc and cutting the cord by pressing the "Y button" once.

Unfortunately, using the MX-3 counts as a single handed weapon. Thus, only one other single handed weapon can be used at the same time as the MX-3. (For two reasons, one... holding a two handed weapon is kind of silly, and two- we need the Y button to cut the cord)

This would be an amazing OPTIONAL weapon allowing an entirely new dimension to multiplay. It is also the Sniper's dream, allowing him to reach sniper's perches in the most inobvious of places.

If the Chief isn't wielding any weapons (ex. pillar of autumn) he will have a melee attack to use (instead of simply running away in the original)

Not that I'm expecting Chief ever to be caught without weapons in Halo 2, but hey, it could happen, who knows.
