MY LOVE FOR YOU IS LIKE A TRUCK...

There is a reason I am user ID 1 and my account creation date is before this site came online.

And exactly what rule would crazy ole' B.B. be (that's a lot of B's) referring to? Well, this one: I <3 Shishka

If you've been hanging out in the Halo 2 forums recently, you would know that there have been several MLG/Anti-MLG threads popping up. And they all end the same way: with a moderator lock. Which I'm sure by pure coincidence was the reason why "The Chad" instigated that rule in the first place.

Honestly, these threads serve no purpose other than to cause flame-wars, which they all seem to do and they do quite well. There is no way that these discussions are going to sway the opinions of the other side. So they are completely efforts in futility and flame-tility.

So, I'm asking that this rule be reinforced...and that these threads get stopped whenever they're posted. That way, I'll get less hate mail in my PM box from the people involved in the threads. Not that I mind the hate mail, because it's nice having something to laugh at every day, but I'm sure it takes up additional space on B.net that could be used for something else, like moderator hate mail!

Questions? Comments? Favorite Shishka moments?

~B.B.

**edit: examples of locked/should be locked threads:
1.) Yesterday
2.) 2 days ago
3.) 3 days ago
4.) 3 days ago
5.) 4 days ago
6.) 4 days ago

Oh, and Mr. Evil, if you happen to be reading this thread, you might check out the last page of a couple of those...

Strange evolution how people have come to believe
That we are it's greatest achievement
We're barely, we're just a collection of cells
Overrating themselves

Can we still talk about BFG?

I must agree. Even though I don't visit any forum regularly now-a-days, but when I do visit the Halo 2 Forums, well over half the time there is at least one MLG/Anti-MLG thread on the front page, whether it be locked or unlocked, there is usually one. So, I agree.

Who doesn't <3 shishka?

We have a club. We meet on Thursdays and we have jackets.

Seriously tho, I have not noticed to big a problem with this. But I don't spend too much time on the main forums these days. Tho I do agree with bungie's stance that an entire MLG playlist is not necessary.

The 9000 model, or the cheap 8800 model? The 9000, yes; the 8800, nooooo00000!

I hate to bump my own thread, but...can I get a ruling on this? Just for my own satisfaction. I'm just curious if this is still considered a rule or if it faded away when Shishka left? Should it still be a rule?

The Forerunners are the hu- ...hamsters -.- (Bungie's secret is safe with me)

Don't bump your own thread unless it is more important than anything Shishka would have to say. Untill then, I would have to say it is still a rule.
