When people talk about old times on Halo 2 they are normally refering to a time called "old stats". This was a time when it took several games in a row to level and if you made it past 25 you were known. This was a time when stand bying was a thing people would threaten and not do. This was when many feared the prefix KSI and other organized clans.
But there were other things that defined "Halo 2" at that time. There were certain playlists many enjoyed. Team Slayer, the most popular gametype was basically how good you were. People would look at your team slayer to determine whether you were a good player. Team Skirmish, a game type of strategy and timing. Rumble Pit, where i personally went in to meet new people and try my chances with people who loved to play alone. But there was one gametype where being alone was your sanctuary. Where your every move determined the fate of you or your opponent. The game with no teammates, just you and your enemy, Head to Head.
Now I know what some of you are thinking right now, why did he take all that time to say Head to Head. It is because Head to Head is an art and a passion. It needs to be introduced and encored. If you don't like Head to Head or dread its return, be kind and either do not read the rest of this or do not comment after me.
Head to Head needs to be brought back to the playlist. There are no solo ranked gametypes now, so what will it hurt. Plus, Head to Head was removed because of the severity of cheaters using it to get a higher level. But now, Bungie, you have done your promised part and basically removed the cheating members of online Halo 2. So bring it back for good times sake. For people who do not do well with teams and people who do well with teams and are suffering from bad players. This is another chance for a new start. And you many will have their doubts and many will complain. But atleast one person has a playlist they hate. It can be Hardcore(my personal favorite to bash on), it could be Snipers(my fall back playlist since the removal of Head to Head), and I know some people hate Team Slayer. Its just the importance of satisfying your customers. And hey, what can it hurt. If people don't like it, then don't play it. That's my solution to Hardcore(unless my friends beg me to play it.)
BUNGIE, do me and many other happy yet anxious players a favor and bring back the Lost Playlist. The one everyone settles their scores with. The original past time of Halo 2....Head to Head.
If you have any SUPPORTIVE comments on my article please leave one....it can't hurt if it's ment to help!
