With B.B. gone, the passion of Bungie.net has lessened.

I think it can be done... If they follow the books almost word for word (somewhat). The books allow for more action and description of the action and environments. If made, whoever makes it should start from The Fall of Reach (movie title), move into The Flood (but the title would just be Halo), then go to First Strike (title), then move to Halo 2 (but different title), and so on (if it doesn't end with Halo 2). I also think it should be completely CG, since that would allow for not having to make all the materials necessary for the Haloverse (or, if they get the money.... they can go completely overboard and do what the people who made the LotR movies did...). If they did CG, they should try very hard to get all of Halo's voice actors to do the voice acting for the movie. If they didn't go with CG, then there should be the same voices for most, but different physical actors (like they did with Darth Vader in Star Wars). For example, unless they try to get Cortana's voice actor to act in the movie as Cortana (hell, she could probably do it,... of course they'd have to digitally alter recordings of her and splice them into a scene, to make it look like she's an AI, and not solid), they could get a separate actor, and just lip-sync the words... and if they get a separate actor for Master Chief, then it'd be very easy to just do the same as they did with Star Wars.

Some problems: It'd be costly, yes. Also, many people who aren't familiar with the game might not know what the hell is going on. Furthermore, it wouldn't be that great if they couldn't get all the voice actors to do the vioce acting... Also, they'd more than likely have to show John-117's face (I think he should remain "faceless," because puting a face on him might lessen him... or they can just show his face in his early years (up to age 14, when he gets his armor), and then just not show it, for he's usually in his armro after that point anyway). Finally, book-to-movie movies tend to not live up to the books in greatness.

If they did it right, a movie, or movies, about Halo and the books would be damn cool. You'd get to see all the cool -blam!- that happened in the books. Like the space battles... I always wanted to see those.

And I'm aware that this probably will never happen.
