Well in slayer rounds Im usually third second or first, same with teams although I suck at 1v1 and I never beat even a level on legendary but then Again I only attempted to beat a level on legendary 4 times.
Could somone please tell me some strategies with jackal snipers?

Campaign is how you get good at multiplayer. I hate the jackal snipers!

Well I played caimpaign on easy 60% normal 10% heroic 25% and legendary 5%
Yet I do very well in multiplayer so You dont need to play legendary that much to get real good though it is probably the best way but you sure as hell need to play campaign at first overall to get decent! because my step cousin skipped right into xbox live on my xbox and boy he was clueless about what he was doing.

did you ever hear of an auto-cocker?
...Thats what she said.

Campaign and multiplayer are 2 different experiences.
It is Impossible to get better in multiplayer by playing campaign ESPECIALLY on Legendary.
Legenday is like a game when you shoot, run away, hide, shoot again.
I constantly find myself using the noob combo in legendary.
Even if you dont do legendary its still hard to get better because the computer AI is really retarded.
Human intelligence is much smarter than an AI.

also Skyancez is the best:P

i always grab a noob combo in legendary, those elites have freaking awesome aim with their plasma rifles!

actually Nickyfour92 is the best XD

xVxV3ndettA is right. That is the primary method to beating them. The levels where you will encounter a lot of them are mainly in outskirts, regret, gravemind, and uprising.

Easy all of the time until I'm looking for skulls or doing other fun things with IWHBYD looking for sweet dialogues. Do heroic when I'm using sputnik and want to grenade jump everywhere since heroic has the most dropped nades. Normal is a waste unless I'm testing the differences in what marines can take between difficulties is. And I swear the elites' plasma can curve in your direction in legendary..

Actually yes campaign gives you a good training of noticing enemy's and getting a feel for the game.

i play Legendary when I play campaign probably 75% of the time but the only thing it teaches you to do is get the first shot off with a sniper and to use the noob combo and hide a lot.

Campaign and multiplayer are DEFINITELY two different games.

Playing multiplayer constantly won't make you better at campaign, and vise versa.

AI opponents and human opponents are two completely different enemies.

About the jackal snipers. My stratergy is to keep moving in an arc, not in a linear motion. Wait till they fire and then take 'em out.

if you really want to get good at multiplayer, you should go and play ppl that are just a little better than you. so then you know a little more. that reallly sounded -blam!- for a second...

I was going to flame you, but--NO COMMENT.

EDIT- Looking back, it makes sense your highest level is a 11 in Double Team and you have a losing record in that.

  • 07.12.2007 12:07 AM PDT

Campiagn and mulitplayer are completely different things. in campaign some weapons and vehicles have tweaks. Eg: The wraith fires faster, No instant kill headshots with snipers on elietes, plasma rifles do more damage, etc. I am sure there are more. Alos, the AI is completely different to a human opponent. Playing campiang might make you better against a team full of guests in BTB but if you get to lvl 30 and above in team slayer you will get pwned.

(If you don't believe me about the weapons and vehicles having different effects/capabilities in campaing try them out yourself instead of flaming me because I know it is true)

  • 07.12.2007 12:49 AM PDT

No, I suck equally at both.

Indecision may or may not be my problem.

I agree with sean rulz.. They are completely different to each other.

I play campaign on Legendary each time I run through it, though it honestly has never occurred to me to use the noob combo. The only time I play on normal or heroic is when I decide to do slightly odd things like only use melee/nade kills. Once you've played through it a few times you kinda know what the AI is going to do.

In multiplayer you can predict what people are going to do to a point (eg: rush the sniper/rockets) but most of it is unknown. I don't even know what I'm going to do most of the time. Thats why I suck in matchmaking.
