Over the past couple months cheating has decreased alot, didn't think I would have to worry about it happening again. Theirs now a new "trend" Of cheating occurring where people are actually shutting off other opponents internet. My buddies internet wouldn't turn back on for 2 hours, and I've heard several instances of this happening lately throughout the community. Turning off someone else's internet is illegal, so if anyone reading this is doing it, I would recommend you stop, not because your cheating, but because you could get your butt sued. Is their any solution of fixing this type of cheating? sorry for my poor grammar, and if this has already been posted.

From MLG Pro. -
"me and munoz went into double team, munoz got host and they shut off his internet. i stayed in the game and i won the 2v2 ball game on midship.after beating them and right before i got the 3 minutes he was saying your account is STOLEN KID. and then he shut off my internet for a few minutes, i just got it back on. who do i report this to? ive read about this being illegal, and i want to know who and how i can report this because its rediculous, the part that scares me is that if he can shut off my internet i'm sure he can do more than just that, also i dont want my account taken haha."

Yeah thats IP Flooding .
It saddens me that people are willing to do illegal stuff just to get their rank up in a game. maybe you can give the gamertag to microsoft and they can find their internet provider then it won't be so funny when daddy whupps their ass for getting them a hefty fine and their internet shut down.

I pledge allegiance, to the flag, of the United Earth Space Corp;
And to the military, for which it stands;
One army, under Bungie;
Unstoppable, with Spartans, and Carbines for all!

I've never heard of this. It is sad that people are willing to do something illegal just for a game. What is this world coming to?!

yeh they basically overload your connections with packets which if they do it enough can -blam!- up your internet for days.

"The vision of a champion is one who is bent over, drenched in sweat, at the point of exhaustion, when no one else is watching."

I had this happen to me about 4 or 5 months ago. Both instances, where they said they had my account and shut down my friend's internet. It's called pinging the person's router. It is illegal and it is sad that people are doing something illegal for a video game.

I think it's when someone sends tons and tons of useless information that all connect to the internet and literally FLOOD your connection.

How you IP Flood? And how do you stop it? This sounds serious?

I don't know how and you shouldn't be asking that. There is a way to stop it but it involves delving deep into you computer and limiting the number of packets you can recieve but I imagine not having a degree in IT you would screw up your internet.

I'm more concerned about people jacking accounts which is apparently quite easy to do.

Wow, now I know why sometimes my connection shuts, and I have to restart my router and 360 to be able to reconnect.

It happened to me 4-5 times in a week, I also phoned my provider but they told me they didn't know anything about this problem...

Now I'm reporting everyone that floods my connection.

SPOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!

Report them to h2cheats@microsoft.com, and be done with them. Also, feel free to report them to xbox.com via the feedback system (that is, when you get your connection back)
