Subject: Can my new computer run Halo 2?

Hello, I am finally getting my new computer today because my current one's power system is going. It is a Gateway, with a 3.2ghz Pentium processor, 1Gb RAM, either a nVida or Intel 256mb graphics card (I forgot exactly which one), and Vista Premium. Is this computer going to run Halo 2 at least decently?

Yes; though, I suppose that depends on your definition of "decently."

Decently, to me, is running without any lag or skipping. I dont exactly need amazing visual preformance or anything like that, just to be able to run the game and play is enough for me. The monitor I'm hooking the computer up to is a old NEC LCD flat-screen monitor, nothing fancy.

Doug I am running 1024x768 with 2x AA on a P4 3.2 GHz with 2 GB ram and a x1600 256 MB card on and its fairly smooth.

I bumped up from 1 GB of ram to 2 GB ram and it improved performance by roughly 30 percent.

I've heard that people with 1GB RAM get problems with Halo 2, but yours will.

Yes but if your graphics card is at least Nvidia 6100 or above it can run.

I have 1GB and I havent had a single problem yet. Other specs:
Core 2 Duo
Radeon X1300 Pro PCIe
Vista Home Premium
And my computer ranks 4.1 in Vista Experience Index due to graphics card.
