people call all power weapons "noob" weapons, noob combo, noob cannon (rockets) noob stick (sword) etc.
Funny thing is that it takes skill to use rockets and sword. The noob combo, all you have to do is line up the bolt of plasma and shoot the guy once in the head.
LOL.
Shooting a guy once in the head, is just as hard as getting a rocket kill. Neither take much skill
People who complain about it fail. Its a weapon on the map, you can use it, so do. if you choose not to, you have no right to complain about the people that do. If you CARE that much about it, pick it up, and keep it secondary just so they can't use it. If I have a BR w/o another Power weapon, and I walk over the PP, you bet I'm picking it up.
Not to mention, its not that hard to dodge at all, unless you're way out in the open.
So you're saying...it takes skill to get one headshot...on a 3 shot burst-weapon...that has minor autoaim...and can be used to sweep snipe in this situation?
Skill...one headshot...ever played SWAT?
Obv, taking a dump takes skill.
It doesn;t take much at all, but I guess you missed the whole point. Neither does killing one person with a rocket.
It takes skill to use a rocket against a guy across the battle field on maps like Coag.
Again, try to noob combo someone across Coag.............
Every situation you've come up with for the rocket taking more skill, is just as hard to do with the noob combo, therefore negating it completely.
I don't think the PP has that kind of range in the first place buddy :)
Really, but Rockets do? Its still irrelevant though. It doesn't prove anything to your initial argument that rockets take more skill than the noob combo.
Fine I'll say it this way, imagine trying to use a rocket against a guy with the noob combo. By the time you turn to look at him, you are dead, it takes skill to counter and blow him up, especially at close ranges. It takes skill because you need timing and good judgement to make your only rocket count.
yes, I'll give you that. But look at the opposite. A rocket guy walks up behind a comboer, and the comboer never sees him. As we all know, the best way to dodge rockets would be to jump. Well he doesn't see him, its an easy shot for the rocket guy. If they both see each other at the same time, the rocket guy could probably get a shot off, but would maybe die before it hit, and they both end up dying.
It's essentially all about situation. Each has its advantages in certain situations. As DL said, on Coag, in the open, the noob combo would win. if there was cover, the rocket would have the advantage. All in all, neither requires muck skill at all, since there's so much room for error, with the plasma's tracking, and the rocket's huge splash damage.
