The BSOD!!!!!!!!!!
go fall in a wood chipper plz.

Why do you want to remove it?

try booting in safe mode and trying it (Spam F8 at start-up and select "Boot windows in safe-mode")

Is the BSOD in Vista the same? In XP it says something about complete or fatal hardware failure, sometimes it only happens once o.O? Tell us your specs if safe-mode doesn't work.

Strange... is this Bungie's way of making sure you can never uninstall the map editor without uninstalling Halo 2 Vista? I have XP so I can't help you much. The only thing I can think of is backing up your save game profiles, uninstalling H2Vista completely, and then reinstalling it without the editor if possible. If that doesn't work, try removing it through the "Add/Remove programs" thing in the control panel.

edit: I have XP, so if Vista has no Add/Remove programs option, sorry.
