Dear Frankie,

Due to the failure and disappointment that was Halo 2 Vista, which in a large part is because of Hired Gun and you guys not being able to entirely oversee the entire project due to your previous commitments to Halo 3, which is completely understandable, is there a chance of Bungie and Certain Affinity or another division of Microsoft Studios to put the two Halo 2 Vista maps, Uplift and District, on the console version of the game? I have played both maps on the Vista and that is really the only thing Hired Gun got right when making the game. I know it sounds harder than it seems, with all the debugging and licensing it may take awhile. However, I know tons of people would purchase them and seeing how the Halo 3 Beta ended almost a month ago and Halo 3 is not coming out until late September, something has got to give. Thanks for reading this email and I look forward to reading your response.

Sincerely,

Johnny Armenian (Gamertag: Johny Armenian)

GameVideos.com has put up new, never before seen videos of Uplift and District. There is no multiplayer action in these videos, as it is only a tour and walkthrough of the maps; showing off weapon and vehicle placement and giving a good heads-up on what the maps will be like to play, if you haven't already seen them yourselft. Click on the links the below:

It shouldn't be too hard considering that the maps are already designed. I'd buy them, though if they were a free bonus pack that would rock.

I defiantly would pay at least $15 for the two maps, and I'm sure others would agree with me.

Uplift looks pretty good, but District looks like it's made of awesome. Good for BTB matches and stuff.

I'd pay good money for that.

I really dought that the version-specific content (Desolation, Tombstone, District and Uplift) will ever be on both versions. I do hope that the Xbox/Xbox 360 version will get District and Uplift and that the PC version will get Desolation and Tombstone (even though I don't own the PC version), but I don't see it ever happening. The Xbox version of Halo Combat Evolved never recieved the PC version content (maps: Infinity, Death Island, Danger Canyon, Ice Fields, Gephyrophobia and Timberland - weapons: Flamethrower and Fuel Rod Gun - vehicles: Banshee and Rocket Warthog).

I play MLG 24/7 and I would still pay a good amount of money to get those.

I heard those two maps were good. I'd pay at least $10 for 'em.

I'd love to have these maps for the console, I'd definitely foot the bill for them, especially Uplift. I'd much rather have those than Tombstone and Desolation..

  • 07.06.2007 5:38 PM PDT

Greatest of all time

can you post pictures of them?

  • 07.06.2007 5:48 PM PDT

No but scroll up to the links that guy left, watch the vids. It's amazing.

I would definately pay for those 2 maps and after seeing those videos I may have to invest in H2 Vista. Those would make for some seriously fun btb battles

In response to NickyFour92's request of pictures of the maps, you can go to the links below. One is a Gamespot Halo 2 Q&A - Examining the New District Level with pics (http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/halo2/news.html?sid=616875 0). Another is a Gamespy Halo 2 Q&A Examing the New Uplift Level with pics of that map (http://pc.gamespy.com/pc/halo-2/778206p1.html). If you want more information of the two vista maps, you can go to these links (http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Uplift , http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/District). There is also 50 sec gameplay video of Uplift and District, which is on YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M9HXvB8Iyqw&mode=related& amp;search=). Without a doubt, both maps will make for some seriously fun and insane big team battles. If we can get this thread to become more and more popular by people posting more, Frankie and Bungie Studios might view this along with the message that I sent Frankie regarding the two maps and we might get a response from them soon. I've also sent Max Hobberman and Certain Affinity an email regarding this and if they have heard or plan on putting the maps on the console version via content download, since they made the last two maps on the console version, Tombstone & Desolation. So far neither have gotten back to me, which is understandable, but hopefully they will in the near future and I will post their responses on this thread. I hope this post encourages you guys to post more and draws more people to this thread.

Well, keep going. I'll be rooting for you.
