ok so i know kindof what host is. i dont quite get it though. explain it to me please. In any game over Xbox Live a host is chosen to run or control the game. This player was designated by the system for matchmaking based off of the best and most reliable connection traced throughout the surrounding players in that specific game. When a player is host, whatever happens in the game on his Xbox or Xbox 360 console is what really happens and all other consoles run messages back and forth through the internet.
Therefore when lag, standby, or other connection errors occur problems may occur for other players such as transporting across the map, dying for no reason, and possibly being disconnected from the game. That is why many issues are brought up and are referred to as a host advantage meaning that things happen a second or two on the host's console because of lag or lack of latency transportation issues.
