My network wireless adapter is red and I cant connect to Xbox Live. Does anyone know why this is happening? If so, is there anything I can do to fix this problem? Thanks

Why do people in ship mutinies always ask for "better treatment"? I'd ask for a pinball machine, because with all that rocking back and forth, you'd get a lot of free games.

Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words - "mank" and "ind". What do these words mean? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind.

sorry, you be on your own. Figure it out yourself. It builds character ;)

Green light = Connected
Red light = Ready to get connected
Red flashing light = Hardware failure

You said that yours was red, as in not flashing red, which means that you most likely havent picked wireless network from the dashboard and/or filled in the correct info (access point and password/web-key)

Read the manual...by doing so, you will not only learn more about the subject, but you will also improve your English...if you understand what you are reading.

Wen you are trying to connect, and fail doing this, theres a tab sliding in from the right in the dashboard, it askes you if you want to test connection. If you would like to go directly to the settings without first trying to connect do this:'

'Go the to settings system page in the dashboard, furthest to the right.
'Choose network settings
'Edit settings
'See bottom of the page, it says WIRELESS MODE..etc etc...mark it and press A
'Select the wireless network you would like to use and press A. Now tap in the WEP-key and press start or hit DONE.
'Go back to the network settings page and TEST XBOX LIVE CONNECTION
' It should work if you have picked the correct network and wep-key, if not remember where it fails and google it.

This is very strange. When I go to press A on WIRELESS MODE, it wont let me press on it. Everything just says "NOT SET". Any help, Bat?

Are you sure that you´ve plugged in the adaptor in the right usb? Make sure that the ethernet cable is unplugged btw if you had one plugged earlier.

Just reset things (reset to factory defaults in the network settings page) and unplug and plug in the adaptor again just in case.

Heres info

There's only one USB port, so yes, it is in the right USB port.

I really cant tell what the problem could be, when i got mine i just:'
'Plugged it in
'Turned on the 360
'Went to network settings and picked wireless
'This screen showed up, well i might have scanned first
'I picked my network and hit A which took me to a screen where i could type in the WEP-key
When i had done that i hit B and got back to the setting screen which looked like this then
' I ran a test on the connection and it worked

Unless your red light on the adaptor is flashing you should be able to open the wireless settings and find your network if you have done what i told you earlier (reseting the network settings, re-plugging the adaptor and restarting the 360)
