Im dissapointed, i thought that the software would be included with Halo 2 vista, instead i havve to pay more to create maps. Why would they do this when they could of gone thee route of Far Cry (BTW ive seen great maps with that dinky editer) but no, we only get Sapien and Guerrilla. Grrr, i wish i hadnt bought halo 2 vista, that was my main reason to get it.

Are you talking about making the map editor easier to use or something? Or objects and stuff? Or both?

Uhhh, I'm sorry, but creating games, and creating game-content is not easy. If you want an easy "all-in-one", then too bad.

im guessing you never played farcry. Seriously you could create maps then play therm online just like Vista except you didnt have to buy a map creater thing, it came with the game, they had spawn point things, CTF things, Walls to make bases, terrain tools, vehicles, if Halo 2 Vistas map editer had been like this it would have been great

No, it wouldn't have been great. They went the rout of customizability, not useability. It is a thousand times more powerful the way it is, than the way you suggest it should be. They said map editor, not map creator. You can edit maps with sapien and guerilla.

Are you talking about the PC map creator or the crappy console one? The PC one is powerful, but the console one is way too limited.

Stupid parents let their stupid children play games that are rated M when they should be playing Big Birds Spelling Adventures

Also the AR is actually good in CQB now and no longer a glorified baseball bat.

From what he said, he makes me think of the console one.

The PC one has produced WAY better things like Obsidian Edge.

The only reason that you have to buy a copy of 3DS MAX is because that's how Bungie make maps in Halo. You're basically getting the tools that they created to make maps - doing something like FarCry would require creating an entirely new tool, which I imagine would be both time-consuming and expensive.

Someone'll probably create an exporter for the free gmax, though, if they haven't already.
