alright ive been playing Xbox live for awhile now, then kinda put my controller down to focus on school and good stuff like that, Halo 2 comes out and im running like a deer on fire to get on, so i carefully remove the cellophane that is keeping me from my game, plug in my internet cable and thats where the trouble starts, apparently my Xbox forgot my IP address, does anyone know what to do?

Check your xbox dashboard, and make sure you have the IP and DHCP set to automatic...That is unless you are using ICS, which I doubt. Are you using a router?

Try turning off the xbox then unplug the modem and the router 4 about 60 secs or so then plug back in the modem router and then wait for all the lights to be in the right place and the xbox with no game. I have to reset my stuff somtimes myself.

Ahh yes, try power cycling. That should do the trick.
