Ok, so I've been reading through several posts, and everyone is complaining heavily about host. Judging by the way people have been describing host, it sounds like they are undefeatable. While being host does grant you an advantage (not a HUGE one), it doesn't mean they are untoppable! Strategy and skill can easily overcome host (just as easily as host being able to snipe from across the map!) Furthermore, just because someone is host, doesn't mean the game does all the work for them. I have also read several posts of individuals who have beaten other players (of equal skill level or greater) off host.

If im trying to say anything in this post, it is to ease up on complaining about losing to host. Remember, there are other players/ opponents in the game too (except in a 1v1, OBVIOUSLY!). They can influence the outcome of the game just as much as the host can.

Hahaha, I've never really had any problems with a host. I dont even think they get an actual advantage apart from a better connection.

In the right hands, host is DEADLY.

The majority of people that have host just don't know how to abuse it properly because they either have bad aim, or they're used to not having host in which case they aim ahead of their opponent while firing.

In an experienced person, they can check to see if they're host either at the very start of a match, or very early into it. Once they've confirmed that they're host, BRs become deathly accurate. Long range-sniping is not only possible, but is easy.

In short, host causes problems when you're playing with/against good people.
When I have host it easily adds at least 6 or 7 to my kill count in a slayer game to 50. To 100, it can add as much as 20 kills to my score.

If I'm host I can win most games without firing, my host stickies are that good.

I got his sarcasm...one person has to implement sarcasm and then you get a pile of terrorist chipmunks crashing your party, not fun at all..

The host flows through us all, it lives in symbiosis with all living beings. Naturally some have a greater connection with it, while others don't. It can be used for the greatest atrocities but can be used for the exact opposite as well. Whoops bit carried away

Lets see, host...
It really depends see (I live in Australia)
If me and 3 friends (who in my city) played TS and we got host and we were against Americans. We're gonna have a decent advantage, your lag can be from (0.2 - 0.3 seconds depending on the networking). Works the other way as well. Same goes for interstate games, say your on the east coast of the US taking on a team on the west side(weZ sid 4 lif) theres still a bit of lag there as well. If a bunch of you played a game and everyone is from the same city your gonna get a tiny bit of advantage with host, but nothing good strategy can overcome. In my experience host capability has helped me beat (rather inexperienced) modders(or should i say modder, as there was only 1 of em...). Of course host opens up a whole lot of opportunities to make trouble - but we wont get into that.
