Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

Most frustrating game ever. I bet it's even more frustrating when you get to play it....

The only frustrating part was getting out of Chiro Station on Legend :-)

^agreed to that, other then that it's not that frustrating, I don't know why every one has to say that H2V sucks, but then again most who say that don't even have it yet, so I leave you with this message. "Don't knock it until you try it"

Both are sucky. Gearbox could've done a better job.

Halo 2 is the easiest game I've ever played.

The only way this game can be fun is if you a Freakin' Super Computer.

Not really, it plays fine on my rig and its far from a "Freakin' super computer".
The game isnt all that bad you just need to have a halfway desent rig is all, lol.

I play the game on my laptop, flawlessly. It's not on the highest settings, but it still looks better than H2 on Xbox. I'm not really sure what everyone's problem here is. So many haters...

My problem is that HALO 2 WON'T LET ME SIGN INTO LIVE. Microsoft's tech support didn't help, either. I'm sure that's enough reason for me to hate it.

You'll figure out that most of the people bashing the game either A) Don't own it, or B) Think they can get it to work on xp (which is possible, just hard). Just shows how stupid people are.

I know what you mean i have this friend on msn and he went on for months about how he couldn't wait for it to come out on Vista. made bigplans and everything.
Any way the other week i got it and i had "Yayyy i got H2V today!! =-D" on my msn name
He was all"H2V sucks!! It lags and the graphics are crap and the mapping tools suck as well!"

But the last time i checked his computer could barely run Vista and he doesn't have XBL either and with his income i very much doubt he could afford both Vista and H2V because he lives with his parents. Sounds to me like he's just jealous that i got it before he did.. He's the bragging kind but i bet when he finally gets it then it'll be the talk of the millenium for him lol. My friend got it before me but i wasn't jealous it's not like i was "OMG I WANT H2V!!" and got pissy because he had it before me lol.

I'm glad that i got H2V because i know i wont be getting rid of it and that's why i love pc games because you know you'll barely get any cash for selling it or trading it in so there's no point.

The mouse/ keyboard controls seem a little sluggish for my likings and you're constantly having to drag the mouse back but with a controller you don't have that problem so i alternate really lol.

Hmmmm. I think the problem is that folks who consider their rig to be "halfway decent" find Halo 2 Vista running poorly.

Halo 2 isn't a new game. The graphics, compared to UT2004 or Half-life 2, aren't very impressive. I don't have a top of the line PC, (AMD 64 3800, 2 GB RAM, 300 gb HD, 6800 GS SLI, and OEM Vista 64 bit Home Premium), but it can run UT 2004/HL2 smoothly at 1440x990 with the ingame effects maxed out without stuttering. Halo Vista, with my current rig, won't do over 1280x1024, and it looks pretty "two generations ago" graphics-wise, and it doesn't run very smoothly, either. There's no way for me to even get a widescreen resolution, leaving me to grenade, -blam!-slap, and rocket squished looking enemies.

That's what a lot of folks like me can't understand. Why is the Halo 2 Vista graphics performance so poor for some of us compared to other games like UT2K4 and HL2 that easily run at relatively high resolutions on the same machine with the same OS? Given that Halo 2 was developed initially for the original Xbox, why are so many folks with PCs much more powerful than the original Xbox getting so little out of the Vista version? Considering the minimal graphical overhaul Halo 2 was given, a PC that runs those other graphics-intense games should run Halo 2 Vista with ease. Yet, frequently, it can't.

What's up with that? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller? <taps the microphone> Is this thing on?

WTF kinda ignorant garbage is that? The people complaining are the ones who can't get the damn thing to work on machines that pass specs.

Slaying noobs since 2007.

Hey Node. Just out of interest what kind of errors are you getting when you try it?
