Well… after much time that was spent gathering a vast amount of knowledge, stickies and other great information has been lost in the recent fiasco. I’m requesting anyone who might have any of this information backed up or saved somewhere else to please help me reconstruct the Halo PC forum meta sticky. I’ll be in contact or feel free to post here.

I have a copy of Chewy's Halo Custom Edition Sticky from May 23rd. Sorry, I have no newer version. I'll post it if you wish, but I bet Chewy has a newer copy saved. I'll wait for his response.

Oh, and here's the little blurb on the CD Key policy sticky, though I'm not sure it's really needed.

You won't get them. It is illegal to use the same CD key for more than one copy of Halo. If you do lose your CD key then you can either buy a new copy of the game or call Microsoft technical support and beg them to give you a new one.

EDIT - Here is a backup of goweb's "Useful Links" thread. However, all the links are messed, I will fix those later and post if you wish.

well, i made the console commands: here it is you may make any nessecary changes

To make it possible to use these commands you first need to put the “ -console” in the halo target Shown here then in-game press the ` key above the tab key to turn the console on.

To kick/ban some one in game you will need to press ` then type sv_players this will bring up a list of all players in the server. (NOTE: this can only be done in your own server or with rcon powers.)
Then after that depending on whether or no you want to kick or ban them type sv_kick or sv_ban then find the number next to the persons name you want to ban type that number in the console and press enter. To stop using console press the ` key again

The bungie.net community is the halo PC community that is renowned for being unbelieveably sucky.

All of the prior stickies should be in google cache. Just a matter of finding it all.

What exactly happened to the stickies?

Someone hacked the forums last night. I'm not sure who though, but he/she deleted all the stickies from every forum I believe. A lot of popular topics have been deleted also, including the 130+ page topic on the Halo 3 ARG, which I am very mad about...

Hey, that's my old post :P

Ohay, I reposted the Halo Custom Edition sticky with Chewy's permission, you can find the new post here. Mods, Please feel free to stick it. Well actually, it's REALLY important so I highly suggest it get sticked. Or you can just add it to the sticky list, either way.

I am in progress of restoring the forum and all of the missing stickies. Thank you for your concern and I will make sure to include any threads posted in here.

Bungie Moderators:

Please remove the link to Bungie Halo PC servers. You removed these servers last year without bothering to tell any of us, and the fact that you have included it in a sticky is rather insulting. Thank you.
