Wow...so many idiots in one thread, it's amazing.
Alright...a little house-cleaning here:
1.) Feedback is handled through the XBL service, NOT THROUGH BUNGIE, Bungie doesn't care about your feedback, they don't even see it. What Bungie monitors is separate from the "feedback" options with XBL. Know the difference.
2.) Building upon that little note right there, anyone who quotes the "cheating FAQ'S" are reading them out of context, and might I add rather incorrectly. What is listed in the "cheating FAQ" is what the Bungie Banhammer will ban you for, not an all inclusive list of how to get banned. If Bungie bans you: you can still use your XBL GT on other XBL games. If XBL bans you: you can't do anything with your GT on XBL. Know the difference
3.) As to the FACT that not everyone can use glitches, which include superjumps, it has to deal with the difference between PAL and NTSC. There are certain televisions that operate on a PAL setting that CANNOT do glitches, that's a FACT. These televisions are what are referred to as: "PAL-50" televisions. If you have a PAL-60 television, you should have no problems cheating, but for everyone who has a PAL-50, they can't. Now, I'll explain the difference between PAL, NTSC, PAL-50 and PAL-60 so the little kiddies can understand. The reason why the glitches will not work deals with the rate in which your televisions refresh the image that is shown on the screen. This can take a couple forms, as demonstrated by the difference between say a 1080i and a 1080p television. The "i" and "p" tells you how the image is crafted on your television. "i" stands for "interlaced" and "p" stands for "progressive". With "interlaced" the picture is basically craft half at a time with alternating lines while the other half gets crafted shortly after. Think about the stripes on the US flag for example. With an "interlaced" picture, the red strips would be crafted first, followed by the white stripes. However, the television does this process at such a fast rate that you cannot depict the difference with the human eye without slowing down the process. "Progressive" on the other hand crafts the image in a more "smooth" fashion and does not use the alternating lines fashion. Now, back to NTSC and PAL. NTSC runs natively on a 60 setting. So even if it is interlaced, it is still 30 lines and 30 lines. Now, with a PAL television, they can either run on a 50 or 60 setting. If it is on a 60 setting, it mimics the NTSC setting, and causes no problems (or none that I'm aware of). However, if you're using a PAL-50 setting, that is only 25 lines and 25 lines, and the picture gets refreshed different than the other 2 ways. It is this difference that cause the people to not be able to exploit glitches. Honestly, I don't know why I explained all that, because they people that employ glitch exploitation are little kids and most of that's going to go over their heads anyways. Oh well.
4.) Bungie has said HUNDREDS of times that glitch exploitation (animation glitches and physics glitches) are CHEATING if used on XBL in MM. However, it is unfortunate that the masses on XBL are as ignorant as the OP of this thread, and don't realize what they are doing is cheating. If you think that glitches aren't cheating, even though you've been told differently, you are as bad as someone who standby's and mods. You're all cheaters equally together.
5.) If you garner enough feedback, whether or not it is justified, XBL WILL issue you a ban. They don't investigate the claims. That would be counter-productive. They make the "ban threshold" high enough that the vast majority of times (and I mean VAST) the person who's got that much feedback is doing something they shouldn't. The only time XBL will even investigate whether or not feedback is legit or bogus is after you've been banned and you try to contest it. Don't believe me about this, ask Major Nelson, not like you'll know who that is.
6.) I loved how the OP said he only superjumps in Team Snipers. You're a tool. You are exactly the type of player that plagues that gametype. I love when I have little kids like you on my team who superjump in order to get a "good" sniping area only to have me suicide countless times until they either get down or get killed. I've cause my team to lose countless times because they think that superjumping is legal...and their high-pitched screams are more than payment.
You do realize that if you superjump you are breaking map balance, something that Bungie spends hours working on to make things fair. Just like modders break weapon/character balance, you're doing similar things in regards to map balance. You're scum...just like them. But if you can live with the fact that you're cheating scum, why not just move onto standbying and modding? You're just as bad.
~B.B.
Massive 5000 character quote wall, I know.
But B.B. you've done it again. :D
If you continue to exploit glitches after reading this, then you have no excuse as to why you do it. Creating a false justification does not make it right, it makes you ignorant to the facts.
