Not for superbouncing. You can get banned if you cheat like standbying you can not get banned for doing bounces in MM.

OMG.

Is feedback specific? If enough people leave feedback on you, for anything, you'll get banned. the Bungie banhammer that detects cheating can't ban you, but you can get banned from feedback. KTHNX.

People in Europe have PAL Xbox's, and you cannot superbounce on them.

Super bouncing is cheating. I don't care what you do in your own customs, but in MM they are cheating.

No if enough people leave feedback on you they will watch your games to see if you are cheating then ban you if they see anything. If enough people got together and said he we don't like that kid and all left feedback for cheating the person would not get banned because bungie can clearly see he didnt do anything.

Here is the bottom line. No opinion.

It is not a bannable offense for two reasons:

1. It is possible for "superbounces" to happen accidentally (not highly likely but possible, and it has happened to me).

2. It is not something that alters the game data, so it is nearly impossible to track.

Now for some opinion:

Nobody likes superbouncers that use it relentlessly in MM to take advatage of an unknowing team. Those are the kids I would love to ban, but bungie won't do it for the reasons above. So call them jerks, leave feedback and move on. And for a little FYI, it is possible to beat people that superbounce.

Wow...so many idiots in one thread, it's amazing.

Alright...a little house-cleaning here:

1.) Feedback is handled through the XBL service, NOT THROUGH BUNGIE, Bungie doesn't care about your feedback, they don't even see it. What Bungie monitors is separate from the "feedback" options with XBL. Know the difference.

2.) Building upon that little note right there, anyone who quotes the "cheating FAQ'S" are reading them out of context, and might I add rather incorrectly. What is listed in the "cheating FAQ" is what the Bungie Banhammer will ban you for, not an all inclusive list of how to get banned. If Bungie bans you: you can still use your XBL GT on other XBL games. If XBL bans you: you can't do anything with your GT on XBL. Know the difference

3.) As to the FACT that not everyone can use glitches, which include superjumps, it has to deal with the difference between PAL and NTSC. There are certain televisions that operate on a PAL setting that CANNOT do glitches, that's a FACT. These televisions are what are referred to as: "PAL-50" televisions. If you have a PAL-60 television, you should have no problems cheating, but for everyone who has a PAL-50, they can't. Now, I'll explain the difference between PAL, NTSC, PAL-50 and PAL-60 so the little kiddies can understand. The reason why the glitches will not work deals with the rate in which your televisions refresh the image that is shown on the screen. This can take a couple forms, as demonstrated by the difference between say a 1080i and a 1080p television. The "i" and "p" tells you how the image is crafted on your television. "i" stands for "interlaced" and "p" stands for "progressive". With "interlaced" the picture is basically craft half at a time with alternating lines while the other half gets crafted shortly after. Think about the stripes on the US flag for example. With an "interlaced" picture, the red strips would be crafted first, followed by the white stripes. However, the television does this process at such a fast rate that you cannot depict the difference with the human eye without slowing down the process. "Progressive" on the other hand crafts the image in a more "smooth" fashion and does not use the alternating lines fashion. Now, back to NTSC and PAL. NTSC runs natively on a 60 setting. So even if it is interlaced, it is still 30 lines and 30 lines. Now, with a PAL television, they can either run on a 50 or 60 setting. If it is on a 60 setting, it mimics the NTSC setting, and causes no problems (or none that I'm aware of). However, if you're using a PAL-50 setting, that is only 25 lines and 25 lines, and the picture gets refreshed different than the other 2 ways. It is this difference that cause the people to not be able to exploit glitches. Honestly, I don't know why I explained all that, because they people that employ glitch exploitation are little kids and most of that's going to go over their heads anyways. Oh well.

4.) Bungie has said HUNDREDS of times that glitch exploitation (animation glitches and physics glitches) are CHEATING if used on XBL in MM. However, it is unfortunate that the masses on XBL are as ignorant as the OP of this thread, and don't realize what they are doing is cheating. If you think that glitches aren't cheating, even though you've been told differently, you are as bad as someone who standby's and mods. You're all cheaters equally together.

5.) If you garner enough feedback, whether or not it is justified, XBL WILL issue you a ban. They don't investigate the claims. That would be counter-productive. They make the "ban threshold" high enough that the vast majority of times (and I mean VAST) the person who's got that much feedback is doing something they shouldn't. The only time XBL will even investigate whether or not feedback is legit or bogus is after you've been banned and you try to contest it. Don't believe me about this, ask Major Nelson, not like you'll know who that is.

6.) I loved how the OP said he only superjumps in Team Snipers. You're a tool. You are exactly the type of player that plagues that gametype. I love when I have little kids like you on my team who superjump in order to get a "good" sniping area only to have me suicide countless times until they either get down or get killed. I've cause my team to lose countless times because they think that superjumping is legal...and their high-pitched screams are more than payment.

You do realize that if you superjump you are breaking map balance, something that Bungie spends hours working on to make things fair. Just like modders break weapon/character balance, you're doing similar things in regards to map balance. You're scum...just like them. But if you can live with the fact that you're cheating scum, why not just move onto standbying and modding? You're just as bad.

Bererkerbarage onto to u r quite coursy ned to be correct but u no so den u r a coo fish, ned u r 2 rite man.super jump is dood for in da custom it is fun, ned not for MM tis a cheating noob man dat does a jump in da MM!!
SOd wit u all llit people who fink bounce no cheating, i onto like 2 bounce but nos da MM not for da bounce!

what kind of broken english is that?

If people super bounce in unranked matches I couldn't care less, i'll be coming right after you.

however

I refuse to use super bounces in ranked matches as I know full well that not everyone has the capabilities to bounce in super proportions. If I see anyone super bouncing in ranked mathces, I leave cheating feedback and hopefully XBL will eventually take care of it, assuming everyone else leaves feedbacks in similiar circumstances.

Massive 5000 character quote wall, I know.

But B.B. you've done it again. :D

If you continue to exploit glitches after reading this, then you have no excuse as to why you do it. Creating a false justification does not make it right, it makes you ignorant to the facts.

I'm not going to post yes or no on this one. People, mainly in Europe, canNOT superbounce/jump. The televisions that are mainly made in Europe just cannot superbounce/jump. It's not possible. So if you're saying that everyone can do it. You're wrong.

Actually sorry that you were misinformed they can still superbounce and can do alot of bounces that people with out pal 50 cant they just have to do it a little differently. So actually sir you are wrong

in case you dont believe me or what not go to you tube type in pal 50 superbounces or something similar I love how this misconception keeps getting thrown in bouncers faces, that oooh everyone cant do them blah blah whatever but yeah everyone can.

not bannable, they should just make death barriers on all maps then make the respawn time for death-by-death-barrier like a minute or something.

Oooh and you sounded so serious with your big paragraphs and all but sorry to tell you this but you are misinformed even though you typed all in caps saying they can not do jumps with pal 50 when in fact you can you just have to do them a little different and there are many bounces that only pal 50 people can do. So before you want to post and try to sound smart get your facts straight. heck if you dont believe me either find a friend that has pal 50 and ask them or just go on youtube type in pal 50 superjumps

Actually, that said, I have bounced on a 50Hz TV before. I don't see how the setting makes a difference, aside from cosmetic?
(Feel free to point out something if I missed it...)

Also BB, point 6 is awesome. I should try that sometime.
