how i reacted to the Halo 3 Beta needler!

its ok i used it 25% of the time but when someone used it on me thats when i started calling him a n00b and a modder and how i was going to give him negative feedback you sissy needler user.

Of course it doesn't. Speed is not the only thing considered. Connectivity is another. Check to make sure you have an Open NAT. Plus, sometimes the game just has to play you with the players that it has available. Also, when you are partied with someone, you make things less flexible for matching.
All in all, I think your experience is better in Halo 2 than in most games.

It doesn't always go to the person with the best upload speed. Thats the problem. I have 900kbps upload and one of my friends has 1.4mbps upload. I get host over him a lot in matchmaking, and we both have an open NAT. Usually when neither of us gets host we play on some connection where we can green bar but there is lots of bullet-lag. Luckily, in the h3 beta this didn't seem like nearly as much of an issue (p2p host perhaps?)
hey yea thanks Achronos. when i played the beta and i tried to join my friends party it told me i could not because someone in the party had something bad with their connection and it also said i had an open NAT wich is a lot better.
