The problem is clearly not one of being American or British or anything for that matter. We are counting on a international network of connections, routers, hubs, ISP's, etc.
YOU, wizewolf, are the one that touted this as an American problem and instantly brought nationalism into this discussion. Your claim is that American connections suck and English connections rock. You may be right that yours is better than some, but you are dead wrong in your generalization.
Many Americans have crappy connections, but so do many English people. Your connection is great, and so are many americans. You admit you pay a great deal for such a high upload speed, but many in both nations and many others are not as fortunate. Those players deserve the right to play just as you and I, and we all deserve better than your whining about American host.
