Let me start off with my setup. I own a 360, and recently bought a surround sound system with an entertainment system. My 360 in inside of it, which I know is bad already. I try to keep a fan a safe distance away, but I dont know if that helps.

Anyways, I played a few games last night, and during a BTB game, it went to a blue screen, then quickly returned with saying that everyone left, and the game was over. I thought I must have just lagged out, no biggie, so I started up a new game. It would go to the "Searching for Players" screen, when it would send me back, saying that it could not find a match for my party. It did this repeatedly until I gave up.

I joined my friends party, and we played a custom game, then tried a game of Team Slayer. Of course, I didnt get an easy break and it said they could not find a party again. So, he changed it to Team SWAT, and we played a few games happily.

He went to bed, and I wanted to play one more game of BTB. It lagged me out, during a good game, too, and I thought we were back to square one, as the "Unable to find a match for your party" screen kept coming back up. So, I tried joining a friends game, and it said "Joining Party...", which is where the story ends, as after 5 minutes of that screen staying up, I decided to turn off my 360 and go to bed.

Any of you technical people or people who have experienced this, please give me some help.

It's not the loading of the maps, its finding a game in Match Making. How can I test the speed of my router? I also received my disk in December after my other one broke.

I used to have all those exact problems, it has to do with NAT, either that or a firewall.

When you run the connection test for your 360, if your NAT shows up as moderate or strict, turning on Universal plug n play on your router should help out. My NAT shows up as open every time now and haven't had any problems since.

A more specific solution would probably be forwarding the ports XBL needs, xbox.com might have had them listed somewhere.

Try this web site. This will test your broadband speed.
