To avoid Iframes you could look at AJAX in GM. However, the iframe method would also still work because you could write an XSL (XML Stylesheet) or grab the user page, then modify the look using the same stylesheet method used for the custom group theme.
You could always release this version now and then come out with a new version when the new user stalker is released. I'd think that this version will be around for a while before he makes / finishes a new one. That way the work gets used. Just add a disclaimer that it will need upgrading when uStalker changes.

The script actually changes the Bungie.net page to load an iframe of the mod finder page, and then the script also changes the layout of the mod finder. Same with uStalker. And there is an extra url variable at the end of the URL so that it won't parse the normal mod finder page without the iframe.
Admittedly, I'm sure there's an easier way to do this, but I couldn't for the life of me find a way to load a page outside of the original page domain in javascript without using iframes. I suppose I'll wait and see what changes you're referring to before I think about publishing this, though.
And Rokit, because of the whole iframe thing, I can't really transfer the mod finder data to the rest of the page.yeah, i think you should bring it out now, I'm dieing to test it out =P
