Just installed. Also, what do you put in for uStalk ID?

Thanks =)
I'm assuming you have also registered for the site and setup a stalk list? If so, just look in the top right corner of the screen on the homepage. It'll say uStalk UID: #. Just put that number into the script.

What a hipster.

Oh man I love this thing. Taking a glance over the Moderator Finder it appears Tom T's finder has stopped updating...

  • 09.18.2011 7:49 AM PDT

I spend too much time here.. too much time indeed.

I tweet?

Nope, just that ninja. Can post without being seen.

It's all fixed now. The script that looks for the last post time was still looking for the name TOM T 117 instead of his new name, Tom T.

I love this thing. So helpful when reporting spam via PM.

Positive vibes.

Oh, how I love to stalk the moderators. Ha. J/k, of course.

On a more serious note, I would like to point out that your text formatting is a bit off. Nothing serious, but if you take a look at the "What is it/How does it work" section, you'll notice the extra '[b].'

Just thought I would point that out.

Also, have you ever thought of creating a script that will allow us to see exactly when they are online?

:)

Yes, a way to report your current online time (using the Greasemonkey script or loading an extra tab in your browser) is on my (much neglected) list of things to do; however, any such solution would require voluntary participation. Whether or not many people would use it is anyone's guess.

Okay. No rush, obviously, but that certainly would be a great idea. I'm sure some people will find it very useful.

It's used mainly so that we know who's online so we can PM them. Not to literally stalk them. That's what facebook's for.

Still sad.

By "so we can PM them", I mean when there's a problem in the forums that needs their attention. Like a JohnCena/ShaneDawson/Jane attack or just someone who is blatantly breaking the rules and not being punished.

Or you could just ignore them. Why should they be punished when other users who post spam, such as Big Black Bear, go unpunished? He posts spam, but he doesn't get banned.

No, I'm saying that some get banned for spam, while others get away with it..

Moderators judgment. This isn't Pokemon; you can't catch 'em all.

I think you're missing the point, as well as taking "stalk" a bit too literally. It's just a name. The moderator finder is most useful when there are larger-scale attacks that moderators may not yet be aware of due to being on other areas of the site, In this case, a helpful PM lets them know of its existence. However, if a user is causing trouble with just one or a few posts or threads, the report button will be more efficient.

Additionally, the "uStalk" component allows you to create lists of friends/people you find interesting on the site, and it will let you know the last time they posted. If that time is fairly recent, you can be sure to a reasonable degree that they are still online.
