Bungie..why the hell would you make an ending so crappy when we have been waiting for this game for almost 4 years? Master Chief on a ship all alone telling the Admiral.Im going to finish this fight? Oh come on man...you need to be a lot more original and generous than that. I hate all these video game companies that make the game really good but then drop the ball on the endings. Who else agrees?

Personaly, I agree w/ both...

a) marketing genious to leave the ending as a cliffhanger. It causes u begging for more.
b) It's a video game, It's just dang annoying having people do this to amp up the release of the next game. That's why Xenosaga didn't do TOO well. Cause it took too long to get the newer games out. (still waiting on them) Plus it's hella exp to get the new one)

read the latest update with Q & A, and you will see, Bungie never once mentioned that earth WAS going to be invaded full scale. I think probably, that the xbox was not powerful enough, hence they had to make a sort of halo 1.5. I agree that it is 'miraculously' going to help Microsoft in doing so, but hey at least we know that NOW earth is being invaded, so if there 'is' going to be a halo 3 then its gonna be sweet!

The ending could be better i don't know how but a bit difrent. I mean, I was pumped up with adrenalin right befor the ending i felt like i could play a whhoul bounch of hard levels, but it just stoped the ending cinematic came and after the credits came and full stop to the gaming.

This was maby crap wtat I wrote here but I don't care.

I was never pissed off at the ending, really. Because, frankly, I didn't expect Halo 2 to be the end of the series. So now, instead of Halo 3 being a "quick! Make a new plot so we can cash in!" kind of thing, it'll be just a flat out continuation of a story that was planned to be continued from the very beginning.

Sorry, but you simply can't fit a story so large and so complex in a game that isn't primarily about story-telling... not in a 15 year game, anyway.

Halo 2's ending may have "sucked" (though I certainly don't think it did), but it's not the end of the story. You're in the middle of a good book. You're on chapter 13 of 20. You can tell by the story; by the entire game... there's so much more left to play.

You'd need another 15 hour long game just to wrap everything up.
