Suffice to say that sometime, a moderator is going to end this account permenantly.

Since the last campaign Vidoc was released, many users would often post, "Where is the next one?" and "We want more campaign footage!!" Now that e3 is here, us Bungie fans are quenched of our thirsty needs for more campaign footage. Yet, instead of gratitude from the members- I see complaints. WTF- Bungie finally gives us what we want and most of us say "those graphics suck!" This dissapoints me. Anyone else dissapointed in the community's negative reaction?

It was clearly stated that the commercial does not represent gameplay.

I guess *shrugs*

The worst part about it is that it'll be sure to happen again as soon as bungie releases more new content. Bungie can never do enough to please a lot of these people here. I dunno, I guess I just don't get it.

People need to learn gratitude. Sadly, there isn't much that you, I, or anyone else can do about it. That's something they have to do for themselves.

I must agree with you tater. But sadly, as Boss has stated, there is nothing we can do. We can only ignore it all.

Maybe Bungie can address it by making fun of these people in the form of a new screen shot promising to please the masses.

Ignore it and stop bumping them with ' WTF'. WTF yourself.

Its not bumping when its at the top of the list. And when have I ever just say "wtf?" I always provide a thoughtful post to go along with it. Now stop being personal and go troll somewhere else.

New Flood

I ever since the Halo 3 Beta forum I have stayed out of that forum and the Halo 3 forum. And the new Ajunctant Rectangle thing has confused me no end that if I even go and ask someone what is going on, I get flamed. If you don't like it stay out of it, join HBO or something. I am a great promoter of personal choice.

Some people can always find a reason to complain about something, especially in a public venue. I for one think the campaign footage was great; I reserve all further judgment until I have the disc in my hands. Hell, it was kind of nice just to get something besides the 7-based veil of super silence :)

That is a good idea, but sadly, you and I know nothing will ever please those in the Halo 3 Forum. They were unsatisfied with the Beta, the ViDocs, the screen shots, the announcement trailer, the television commercial, and now, the game play trailer. Each one better than the last. All of these shined in amazement, the graphics were phenomenal, and the Beta, that provided weeks of entertainment. Yet, in all of these, the masses were still unsatisfied, and nothing will ever please them. After all, they are the masses. I think the only thing that will please them will actually be getting Halo 3. Wait, no, I lied, they'll probably say it sucked. So yea, there is most likely no way to please the masses. =\

See all of our locked threads? Some of the Halo 3 forum idiocy must be spilling over.

Either way, all the nay-sayers will be putting their collective feet in their collective mouths come September 25th. I think that if they don't enjoy the game at that point, it's a fitting punishment in it of itself.

Subject: Bungie became complacent

It's the morning after Microsoft E3 2007 Keynote and Halo 3 campaign trailer. Last night Sony ambushed Halo 3 with private demos of Killzone 2 right after Microsoft's keynote. So I have heard. So. This morning I woke up an looked for news on E3 (and Halo 3). What did I see?

Killzone 2. Killzone 2. Killzone 2.

Everyone out there is talking about Killzone 2. "Killzone 2 is amazing!" "Killzone 2 is stunning!" "Killzone 2 delivers!" "Killzone 2 is the best looking console game this year!" Nobody except the most hardcore fans even cares about Halo 3 anymore.

The graphics in last night's Halo 3 trailer is an improvement from beta, but it's still disappointing. So I have to be worried for Halo 3. I'm here in this forum looking for Bungie's reaction. I hope Bungie will actually do something to remedy the situation. What is Bungie doing to salvage the situation? Absolutely Nothing. Nada.

And don't tell me BS like, "oh, you can't please the masses!" Because if Killzone 2 could deliver, if Killzone 2 could deliver that kind of amazing visuals and bells and whistles, so should Halo 3. And it's not like Bungie did not know what's coming. Sony showed the Killzone 2 teaser back in 2005.

Let just hope Bungie's response this time won't be: "Oh, we really do not care about competition. We are only competing with ourselves. Even if Halo 3 came out with monochrome colors, people will still buy it when it comes out! It's Halo."

The release is only two months away, so it is already too late for Bungie to do anything now. I tell you what Halo 3's problem is. Bungie became complacent after the success of Halo and Halo 2. Bungie got arrogant. So this time they are going to get their arse kicked by Killzone. Well, I am sure Halo 3 will be a bestseller. People have already made 4 million pre-orders based on its reputation. But after Halo 3, then no one will ever get excited over Halo anymore. Killzone 2 along with Halo 3's disappointment will kill the franchise.

If Killzone 2 is anything like the first Killzone, it's going to be absolutely generic. We've all heard the term "Halo-killer" before, but we're all still here, so obviously Bungie's doing something right. And what makes you so sure that people will be disappointed by Halo 3?

Anyway, this is the wrong place to post this. Especially considering how this whole discussion is about how ungrateful the fickle masses of "Halo fans" are.

I'm not sure which is worse. Sony Protection Groupies and PS3 fanboys or you guys who blindly worship Bungie/Halo and refuse to acknowledge things are not looking good.

Until the finished product is released, there is no need to worry. Furthermore, great looking Killzone 2 graphics does not mean the game will be a good game. In addition, the 360 has a larger user base. Because more people have a 360, Halo 3 will almost certainly outsell Killzone 2. The sky is not falling.

There's a list of "Hottest Games" on N4G (News4Gamers) front page... Killzone 2 has just overtaken Halo 3 as the number-one hottest game.

It's the same thing over at GameTrailers (i.e., "most popular games") and other websites, which usually have ranking systems that list the most popular games that people talk about the most, search the most, and/or "bookmark" the most.

Halo 3 has been number-one on many of those list for the longest time. Now, Killzone 2 is overtaking Halo 3's popularity at those websites, one by one. This is bad.
