I go in the morning. And to the one person saying isn't this religous, well, I read the rules and I never saw anything saying no religous talk. People need more religion if you ask me. Don't worry, I'm not going to stuff my beliefs down your throat. I can't make you believe what I do.

Religion IS against the rules.

And when you say "we need more religion" I'm sure you actually mean "we need more of the SAME religion," namely in this case Christianity.

Because, hey; it's religion that's been causing the perpetual violence in the middle east.

Oh really. Tell me who was it that was torchering people for no reson there, tell me who was that? And what was the religon of the person who caused 9/11? Also I never said that, religion in general makes things better. And of course since I'm of that religion I'd want that, but I know that's not hapening. And what religion was this great country based on (asuming you live in the U.S.)? And what princables give you the freedom to bash my religion? And what are the religions of the countries who do nothing to help good in this world? Face it, Christians have done lots of good here, so fine go and bash the religon that is keeping our country safe (As well as other countries).

1) Shut up.
2) Stop being stupid.

I never said that. All I had said is that to say, "we need more religion" is bad. I had said that difference in religion is the cause of all the fighting in the middle east. For "more religion" to be good we'd have to have more of only one kind of religion.

Edit: Also note, I never said Christianity was bad (I dislike all religion; but I realize Christianity is far from the most harmful). You became belligerent and misunderstood me. Shame on you.

But without religion life has no point whatsoever. So some religion has to be true. And I'm not one of these idiots who say all religions are right. That's just a dumb belief. ah, it's getting late, I'll be going to bed in a little. (Well, at the very least turn off the comp) Good night.

It's religion that's tricked you into thinking life needs a point.

So some religion has to be true.

No it doesn't.

And I'm not one of these idiots who say all religions are right. That's just a dumb belief. ah, it's getting late, I'll be going to bed in a little. (Well, at the very least turn off the comp) Good night.

You're right, belief in everything IS dumb, since it contradicts itself.

Not only does life need a point but something had to create it. And a big bang from nothing makes no sence. The idea of a higher being making everything makes more sence. And I know what you'll most likly say, "But what made Him?". Well He wasn't made He always was and always will be and don't ask me how. That is too complex for any human to know.

Demonstrate that life needs a point.

but something had to create it.

Yes, and that something could have been a natural process.

And a big bang from nothing makes no sence.

I tend to agree. It's possible in theory, but I don't think it's a very likely possibility.

The idea of a higher being making everything makes more sence.

No, it's easier to understand. The idea that there's an omnipotent being that's existed forever makes very little sense. Lots of questions come to mind, such as, "If it's existed forever, then why was this universe created now? Wouldn't it have either already been created, or perpetually never be created?" (the problem with infinites) Plus, occam's razor removes such things as omnipotent beings. Omnipotent creators make things MORE complicated.

Statement: The universe was created by God. God always exists.

Occam's razor states that all superfluous (meaning overly-complicating) details of an equation need to be removed.

Statement: The universe was created by God. God always exists.

The underlined part is superfluous and will be removed.

Simplified Statement: The universe always exists.

Are you familiar with Stephen Hawking's "No Boundary" theory? I could provide a link if you'd like.

And I know what you'll most likly say, "But what made Him?". Well He wasn't made He always was and always will be and don't ask me how. That is too complex for any human to know.

I won't ask that. I've been debating from both sides of the coin for a little over four years. I know which arguments work and which are flawed.

You don't need religion to come up with a reason to justify your life.

I think that we do need some religion. Completely removing it from the public arena will also remove its morals.

Look into philosophy. Morals in no way need religion to exist.
