Kevin's post = breath of fresh air.
Take it from this guy people, he knows what he's talking about.

Second accounts are NOT cheating:

Cheating argument aside.

Glitches imprive gameplay because it adds to the diversity of each gametype. No longer can you simply expect to sneak around a corner and start shooting a guy at close range while he has half shields and expect to win. You have to constant be thinking of all the possible senarios and react accordingly. Button glitches add a whole new depth to the game. I dont glitch very much at all (by choice) but I fully support their uses because if it werent for glitches and all the new chalenges to mastering the game that come with them, id have quit long ago.

I love to Glitch!
Halo 2 Would still be an awesom game without this 'element'.
But this 'element' makes me play the game even more than normal.
They should leave it out in multiplayer, to keep out unfair play. That would be a huge improvement!

100% what I meant!
I know how I could get an advantage in battle using glitches, but won't even ever consider doing it.
I only use it to discover, have fun or just to give myself a goal. Ex: "I wonder if I can get up on that building" Then I'll do everything to get up onto it!
It's just another way to keep myself busy with Halo 2 if I don't want to play it in the standard shoot-em-up way.

I think that the glitches are as much a part of the game as the weapons, maps and gametypes...think about it, because of glitches you now no longer have just the basic movement and shooting tactics for each map/gametype, but now you have a whole new set of choices in battle that aren't obvious at first...it makes the game better that there is always something new to learn and then use. I personally don't use glitches that often, besides the occasional BxR but I fully support glitch using in custom games of matchmaking

Sidenote: When I say I support glitching I'm referring to superbouncing, BxRing, Double shotting, etc,

I do not in any way support ppl who take advantage of map glitches to throw bombs, balls, or flags outside the map to garentee a win/tie game...anyone who does this I hate you with all my heart, because I love skirmish and hate to see it ruined.

BxR, BxB, RxR, etc are a plague upon the gaming community. All who use them must die in firey armageddon. They RUIN the game. I can look past the insane auto-aim, the unbalanced weapons, and even the screaming 10 year olds. But cheaters who use button glitches to win are the single worst thing to ever happen to Halo 2. And I'm serious about the firey armageddon thing.

Single player glitches are fine, and frankly I think they're fun. Custom games are fine to cheat in too, as long as everyone knows cheating is allowed. But cheating in matchmaking is absolutely unacceptable.

The game was made by Bungie and if Bungie wanted these "new aspects" and dynamic gameplay you're talking about they would have deliberately included them. Think about what can be done without the glitches: plenty.

too the guy who said button glitches who are the worst thing about this game...have you played some people I like to call modders?, how bout stand-byers? ya know, real cheaters...and to the other critic, I know bungie added some great aspects to the game, but its also true that if these glitches were so bad that bungie could feesably have fixed them with a patch, however that may have been a lot of work, you are basically saying that bungie could possibly have forseen all things they need in the game...game design doesnt work that way, without the gamers its impossible to think of everything when your so close to the project, sometimes it takes a gamer to bring new things to a game that the designers couldnt think of...dont start thinking I don't know what I'm talking about, game design, and the interactive media feild is what I'm going into as a career

i think that glitches are fine but when you use them in matchmaking to say, get on top of the tower on lockout and start sniping the -blam!- out of people, then its not fair. there is a limit

SPOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!

If this were about campaign glitches or something like that, I'd have let it go. Its not about those kinds of things though, its about button glitches and super-bouncing, and a few other things that Bungie considers cheating when used in matchmaking.

So, as I always do with these topics, I'm locking it because it violates the Code of Conduct, in that it gives some users the opportunity to advocate cheating.
