So after 9 long months we were treated to another Bungie podcast and I personally was a little disappointed. I liked Luke Smith when he was working for 1up and always looked forward to the 1Up Yours podcast and was sorry to see him leave. But when I heard he was going to Bungie I thought about how great a podcast he could make with combined talents of he and Frankie.

Unfortunelty this podcast seemed to be disjointed and had very little behind the scenes information that I feel a developers podcast should have. Yeah, the majority of the bungie crew have witty personalites and there were many times I laughed throughout the cast, but if we're only going to get these 'periodically' (I'm hoping for more than once a year) than it should have more meat about the game THEY ARE WORKING ON. There are many podcasts talking about E-3 predictions and such, but a Bungie podcast has the opportunity to go past that and dig a little deeper into the behind-the-scences development of such a huge game. I'm not talking revealing plot stuff, or anything specific to the game, but more about what goes on in the studio which is more interesting to me than last nights play-test or who is the best Halo3 player in the studio.

I just think that good developer podcasts go past a 'watercooler discussion' of whatever is on their mind and try to think of what people who really interested in their game want to hear about.

I'm not really looking for feedback on this post (mostly just getting stuff off my mind), but if you have comments or a review of the podcast post below.

There's a new Bungie podcast out? I thought it wasn't going to be out for another week or so...?

I think a serious behind the scene podcast would be boring. It's comforting to know that the people behind halo 3 are a bunch of guys who get along and have fun. They seem like they want to create a fun game because they are gamers themselves. They're not just all about the skrilla. Big-ups to the podcast people, keep on doin' it, they way you do. Sean Connery stuff was genius level funny.

The podcast was enjoyable, nothing more.

We already know everything they mentioned. However I found the podcast to be a good use of my time while pointlessly downloading the Blast-tacular map pack. I hope they have more podcasts, especially as they are developing their next project (which will be in some time I would asume). I can't wait to hear Frankie say something about not being able to talk about their latest project. The introduction could use just a little more length.

All in all I found it enjoyable

If the podcasts don't become regular, that would be some massive failure on Luke's part. :)

Expect to see them more often, once they get going. This one is a kind of "special E3 edition".

I look forward to seeing more. Plus, I must say, I would love it if more "celebrity" guests popped in, I mean, I'm fine with one per episode, just have Sean return. That was awesome.

I love that catchy tune, so much so my family finds me randomly singing. It has also gotten me booted from a few games ;)

I love the podcast and it was great. The transition between humor and news was great.

You've got to think crazy, of course, because you only get innovation by refining insanity. - Jason Jones

I wouldn't mind hearing jason jones in the next podcast. He has gone under for the longest time now, Jason your fans want to hear from you. :)

Just wondering, do you have the authority to permaban Luke from Bungie?

That and your emoticons are freaking me out too. Lay off the E.

I'm guessing that the smiley is the good omen. It's a reinforcement of the "they will be be more regular" idea. Revel in it.

I assume it's been Luke's fault that it's been nigh a year since the last one, too?

I enjoyed it.
Why would you even review what is basically just a recorded series of conversations?
