I have seen 3 Elites above level 25. My friends and i have decided that 25 is the cutoff point for being -blam!- enough to play as an elite

And powersquirrely, a 23 is not a high level. high level is considered 35+

high level is around 40+ the only reason i think htat is level is because i beat this guy on his host and hes a "leet, mlg" 37 and he was terrible so i think who ever gets into the 40's must be pretty damn good to get past the standbyers, s-bouncers, and basically all the people that enjoy to scream into the mic when hes about to die, hoping that breaks your concentration.

I dunno if anyone else noticed this but i find it way easier to kill elites because their head hangs to where their chest is which makes there head the biggest target..

Q: do pro's use elites

A: only when they want to make a total ass out of you and show you how garbage you really are.

If you play primarily as an Elite, you're bad. It's that simple.

Wow that is really small minded thinking.

You'd like to think it's small minded thinking because it offends you, unfortunately it's empirical observation.

I have only had a couple of players on my FL - good guys actually - who used Elites, and one of them was definitely better than me and the other about the same.

I have never been placed below an Elite player in matchmaking as far as I can remember.

And I am not good at this game.

I'm sure there's Elite players who are better than me. But they are not common.

When you go into a game it's generally a safe assumption that you will beat the guy who's playing as an elite.

Elites are easier to kill in my opinion, the do have larger bodies and are easier to headshot.

ur not allowed to use elites in tournaments at the pro level

umm does anybody know what a real "clan" match is?

is it like when u do an arranged game against another clan or different?

Well, back in the day Bungie had a thing called Clanmatch. I'm not positive how it worked, but I will share what I know. It's like a matchmaking option that you go in with your clan, and your entire clan ranks up? I'm probably wrong on that. But it was removed because Many clans cheated, KSI being #1. That is also why nobody likes KSI if you where wondering.

Nowadays people outside of Bungie arrange their own "clanmatches" but do not receive ranks.

There are still official clanmatches. some clans signed up for GameBattles, and rank up there. there are a lot of good Clans there and also Refs that keep eye on the matches to make sure there is no cheating.

i play as an elite on halo 2 and i am good at the game i dont use him in snipesduh

You have a negative overall k/d ratio, .8 to be exact. you are not good. When you have played 11 games of double team at a Level 1, and only won ONE of those, you are not to be considered good. Perhaps try changing to spartan. your skills will probably improve, as will your manliness.

You just pretty much described what I do, lol.

I play halo all the time im kind of getting sick of it but it might be a good way to get your skill up to play as an elite for a while and then go back to a spartan it might help to improve skill

  • 07.13.2007 12:20 PM PDT

playin as an elite is like playing a whole differnet game

It can be used as a handicap to make it harder for you, that's pretty much what I did when I first played the game, which is why I'm so good at Snipers and Rumble Pit.

In my opinion, elites are easier to shoot at, their heads are gigantic, and their bodies are bulky. Just my opinion.

I think elites are used as a joke because they look retarded (watch an elite BxB with a PP while it's looking up to see what I mean).

RIP Halo 2.

those are the most brokeback rules I have ever heard. they take the fun out of games. no nade jumping? or getting ontop of cool spots legit? gh3y.

I know, because clearly people should be allowed sot abuse their host and grenade jump. It's completely unfair to give privileges to only one person in the game. MLG is about fair and balanced gameplay, not "omg look where i nade jumped so i can snipez u lol!!!11one"

Posted by: jordan15b
plus elites run and reload faster

No, they don't. They do have giant heads and are much easier to stick, so have fun with that.

dude im lvl 41 and i play as an elite......

many people like elites because they look cool and humans get boring after awhile

Got proof? I don't see how a player model gets boring. It doesn't affect you as the player other than make you a much bigger target for sniping and sticking. And it makes you look like a clown, no one respects an Elite in Matchmaking. YOu know all those people laughing about the dinosaur on their team? They were talking about you.

Oh, and good is an entirely subjective term for anyone who thinks they're good and plays as an Elite. I consider myself fairly mediocre and I was a 40 over a year ago with a 90%+ win ratio for Slayer. I know MM is a really bad way to judge skill, but it's better than nothing. If you've ever played an Elite who was good, I can pretty much guarantee they were just playing as an Elite as a joke. I've done it. There's no reason to play as on primarily because it simply puts you at a disadvantage.

Location: Outlaws' Summit.

You're not mediocre Virtuosity, you're actually under rated if anything :-)

But yeah, to be honest, when I see an Elite I automatically assume I'm going to win. Simply because every Elite I've played against was either a guest or child who wasn't too good.

Is it a bad assumption? Kinda..........there was this one time in Hardcore when we got carried by an Elite. It was pretty funny, and we thought it was a fluke, but we matched up with him again and he carried us again LOL.

He made us believe he primarily played as an Elite, but later revealed he was only doing it to put himself at a disadvantage (they do stick out more, and they're alot easier to kill)

The problem is they look wierd. I'd imagine Halo 3's Elite model to look a bit better.

And they run like they've got sand in their crotch.

Seriously though, getting 8 people to become Pink Elites and go into BTB is grounds for one hilarious time.

I almost forgot, its Pink Elites WITH Voice masking.

If you only have 7, go into Rumble Pit.

"Paradox is a pointer telling you to look beyond it. If paradoxes bother you, that betrays your deep desire for absolutes. The relativist treats a paradox merely as interesting, perhaps amusing, or even, dreadful thought, educational." - Leto II

I've always played as an Elite, and I definitely consider myself to be pretty good. I truly enjoy shutting the mouths of people that are like "oh man, they've got an elite, we should be winning this game". Or then there's the people that quietly advise me to change to a Spartan, because they are "so much better". Either way, I don't see a point in changing now.

14. The higher seeded Team must play as the Red team and the lower as the Blue team.
15. Quitting from a non-Team Slayer Game, before it has ended, without referee’s permission will leave your Team shorthanded or result in a Forfeit if all 4 Players quit.
16. Players who are caught giving kills to other Players during a FFA Game will be warned. Players receiving two warnings during the same Game will be disqualified.
17. Incorrectly ending a Game without referee’s permission will result in a Forfeit.
18. Players must use their registered MLG Login Name during all Games. No Team Name abbreviations are allowed.
19. No Warm-Up Games may be played outside of scheduled Warm-Up periods.
20. During scheduled Warm-Up periods the winners can stay, but the losers must get up. Teams still active in the Event have priority over open Stations during this time.
21. When Players are given the option of using Full-Screen, Teams can use 1-4 TVs.
22. Players may not raise the volume above 30 for Samsung and 50 for Phillips TVs. This rule doesn’t apply to Station 1 or Players using headphones.
23. In the case of an Xbox/TV malfunction, the Game will be restarted from the beginning unless a Team was winning a Team Ball Game by more than the time remaining in the Game.
24. Games started without the approval of a referee will be restarted.
25. If a Player/Team fails to report to their Station within 5 minutes of the announcement, they will Forfeit the Game. 10 minutes after the announcement, a Team will Forfeit their Best of 3 Game Match or the 2nd Game of their Best of 5 Game Match. 15 minutes after the announcement, a Team will Forfeit their Best of 5 Game Match.

Disqualification
1. Breaking any of Rules #1-4 will result in a Foul. Fouls stay with a Player/Team throughout the Event. Two Fouls during one Game will result in a Forfeit of the Game. Once a Player/Team reaches two Fouls, each additional Foul will result in a Forfeit of the Game.
2. Players found breaking Rule #5 will be asked to remove the flag from its hiding spot immediately. If the flag is not removed immediately the Team will Forfeit the Game.
3. Breaking any of Rules #6-15 will result in a Forfeit of the Game.
4. Any sign of cheating may result in a Forfeit of the Game and possible ejection.

These penalties, if necessary, will be carried from one Match to the next or one Competition to the next. Coaches receiving a Technical Foul will have their Coach Pass and privileges taken away.

Its tragic, really...to see a world you love sink away in an instant that has occurred long before your time..or its own.

i play as an elite, and i was a lvl30,(GTs in sig, dont play as much now)
i agree however, that the amount of skiled elites is very slim. i play with an elite maybe once a day, and to my great dissapointment they always live up to the stereotypical elite name.
also, i play a more recreational halo game
