I really need someone to explain this.

The whole purpose of a Dyson sphere is to harness the energy from a star when one cannot sustain enough energy from natural resourced (ie Earth). So when Dr. Halsey said that they were in a minture dyson sphere...how does that make sense? How is a slipstream space thing shield world a Dyson Sphere? it doesn't harness power! ahhhhh! please explain!

Whether it's superbouncing or interrupting weapon animations, just because we don't personally ban you for it doesn't mean it isn't cheating and extremely poor sportsmanship.

Well the way a dyson sphere harnesses the power of a star is by incapsulating the star with a giant sphere structure and living on the inside, which is basically what onyx is according to Dr. Halsey. there's a pretty good diagram on wikipedia that should clear it up.

It isn't exactly a Dyson Sphere though.
It's mostly just compressed dimensionality. There is obviously more to it then Dr.Halsey could understand from what little she was able to gather in the short time they were there before the book ended.
