Hi, even on system-link halo games me and my brothers notice some form of lag, if we're getting lag from xbox's that in the same house; what hope is there for halo2? Pistol lag is always a factor, instead of taking 3 hits a guy would take 5 hits. Shotgun lag is also a factor, if someone straffs around you the shots have to be infront of the player, but primarily snipers and pistols are hot hardest by system-link and lan gameplay.
My question is, what infomation actually travels through the ethernet cables? Location, movement, shooting and actions, what gets transmitted through the cables and is there anyway to compress the information so lag isn't a factor?
How much infomation for halo2 gets used, 100k or lower, 250k or higher?
Whats the best cables to use for xbox and internet? Can I use cat 6 cables?
Thanks for reading.
