Noooooooooooooooooo! The beautiful Marty music seems to be playing to a different tune now. Before it was good old posterior kicking music, where you knew you were going to lay down the law. Now it sounds more like the Master Chief is going to get his posterior kicked in. Really nice videos though, team Lehto has done a nice job. I was really impressed with the instance where the camera looks up through the trees and the leafs edges are slightly blurred out due to the intense lighting levels.
Anyone also notice that Bungie seems to be employing DOA effects on Cortana. Her bust appears to bounce slightly. Guess that Japanese games rubbed off on them. Well at least it looks like stacker is back.
It’s somewhat disturbing that a single drone can pick up a human. On the other hand Brutes can now strip. Ha ha ha
I’m likely going to get owned the first time I come across that water fall we saw at the beginning of the video. I’ll just stop stare and take it like a man. The ripples across the water looked great as well, you could see the brightness vary across the rippling surface. From what I’ve seen so far, it’s pretty easy to expect Halo 3 to have the best water and particle effects to date. It all seems to mesh nicely into the tone of the other Halo games. They really tried hard to stay visually true to the series so far.
The only thing that has me worried is the music. Why Marty why must you make it sound like the Master Chief is going to die. I don’t know much about music, but perhaps some more cowbell would make things seem less bleak. That or bring in the Kitchen orchestra. I can see it now , “Turn it up man, I just love them spoons!”
Clouds from heaven is what I’m thinking. The blueness in the sky varies with the horizonal position as it does in nature. This is just terrific, I’ve not seen any game with that attention to detail. Bungie really did their homework on this one. I wonder if this will cause other studios to have to pull up their standards, or will we begin to see a deviation between standards in differing game studios.
Look out it sounds like the Scots are comming. Boom head shot.
Yabba dabba do team Lehto’s got the moves.
