Halo3Planet, the place for all things Halo 3..

Need help finding skulls, make sure to go here.

This happened to me and other people I know. What you have to do is go to the XBOX dashboard. From there, sign into your XBOX Live account. After you do that, scroll down to the bottom and press "Halo 2". Then, when it asks you to update, say yes. After the update finishes, you should be able to play. I have no idea why this happens, I just know that this is how you can fix it.

This is most likely a Xbox 360 console bug when trying to update Halo 2 after the 1.5 update. What you need to do is access your Xbox 360 dashboard and go to the "Systems" blade. Select Memory, Hard Drive, and then Y for Device Options. Once you are in the Device Options menu press X, X, LB, RB, X, X and then select Yes.

Once done turn off your console and restart it signing into Xbox Live before launching the game. Now launch the game you will be required to update, select Yes and the title should restart with no problems at all. Sign into Xbox Live from the Halo 2 main menu and have fun. If this problem continues to persist, you may contact the Xbox Live Technical Support Team here for further assistance.
