Anyone have a specific preference for which type of wireless adapter to go with?? Is there that much difference between the LynkSys wireless game adapter or the xbox MN-740???

Is it ok to go wireless for online gaming??

Thanks to all for the replies!

I found that the Linsky's Wireless Network Adapter was a huge pain to get up and running. I returned it.

I have the MN 740 and a wireless Linksys router WRT54G. Works like a charm. I have never had a problem with it. I have never had to reset it. Of course typical blah blah keep all your firmware up to date on all wireless hardware.

Thanks 'kuma. Is one easier to set up than the other?? I read some reviews on Amazon that made it seem like the MS-740 was easier to set up than the Lynksys product.
Any comments on that?? There's a pretty significant price difference between the two, that's why I ask.

I'm assuming that setting up the box wireless won't affect game play. Is that true as well??

Thanks!

Or if you have a computer using a wireless card and has an open ethernet port, you can do this. If you don't have the luxury of owning a spare mac like me, you can always use a PC with internet connection sharing enabled. ;)

like focused said, they both work, but you getting an MN740 will be better for us to support here at xbox if you have any problems :P. umm just take care of what ever adapter you choose to get, keep the firmware updated and you should have no problems
