Tell me or another moderator about it. We will look into it and ban them if you can prove that they are harassing you.

And you can also add them to your ignore list. That is what I do.

Well that was kind of covered already. Re-read the post...

Blocking them fixes the problem.

Make sure you check the bottom left of your browser (for most browsers, Firefox is what I use) and mouseover the link to see where it goes before clicking it. If it's a 'tinyurl.com' link, I wouldn't advise clicking it (unless in a signature, since that's common).

I suppose if they start harassing you with multiple accounts, that should definitely be reported to the moderators.

Tinyurl has a handy preview tool if you're wary of Tinyurl links. It's very, very useful. Trust me.

Definitely report members using "alts" to spam your account. We'll handle that... just make certain to provide proof of the abuse.

It doesn't?
Make sure you get a screen shot.

I got a message from some of those people too. I could tell what that link was going to take me to the second I read the message. I just blocked him, but I didn't report him because I wasn't for sure if the link was what I thought it would be.

Sorry I didn't take one for the team.

would this happen to be a guy named SNIP3R110?

I received one from him but as Firefox lets me preview where the link goes in the lower left corner of the browser I didn't fall for it.

Also, what kind of proof would be needed? This has happened before TNH 2.0 came out and one of the options was to let a moderator go into the account to view the message. I really don't think thats a good option as a windows live ID is now a lot more integrated into other stuff then it used to be.

Would a screen shot do the job?

Same exact thing happened to me. I just reported him and spammed him back (I never let things go without vengance). His name was SNIP3R110.

If you want to be a part of one of the greatest and most active communities in the seventh column, come here. You will thank me later.

There's a button on the top right of your keyboard that says something like Print Screen/Sys Rq. Press that button, and it will copy the image on your monitor. From there, you have to paste it somewhere (maybe photoshop). Then, you can save it and upload it.

Are you sure? I pushed that button and nothing happened. Do I have to push something along with it?

Pushing that button only copies the image. You have to paste it somewhere else, like I said.

Human stupidity knows no bounds.
Print screen, open Paint, ctrl-v, save as, upload to Imageshack, link. Internet fingerprints.
Also, we need a 'forward message' option, for just this sort of thing.

How would 'forward message' work without a friends list? It is a good idea though. Also, a messaging system where you have the messages saved when you reply 'ala' myspace would be very very helpful as well.

When you start to PM, you get an option to 'Attach message from your inbox'. I think you can figure it out from there.
