There are other ways of de-ranking besides committing suicide. Such as, letting the other team kill you, or just not play.

Carrots.

And it wouldn't be fair to people who accidentaly commit suicide. And BY THE WAY, "your" idea was posted maybe a couple of weeks after halo 2 came out. It's nothing new and has proven not to work before.

What we really need is a "never again" button. We should have the option of going to feedback and selecting the player of our choice so that we never have that guy on our side again. You could have him as an enemy, but not as a team mate.

De-levelers are anuses to be sure. The system should automatically boot anyone who suicides twice. Locking their system for an hour would also be nice.

well, some people do it because the game has an un

fair advantage. I played a game with a guy that killed himself

33 times, because the host modded the first 5 seconds,

and got a killtac. So.............he made sure they couldnt win...

some do it because they like playing against noobs, and destroying them

some do its just to get 'yer goat.

so to solve it.....

GO IN WITH A TEAM THAT YOU CAN TRUST!!

Yeah they're very annoying. At least in Halo 3 you can choose to avoid them or file complaints. So since, that game is coming out shortly, there's really no point in changing anything now, unfortunately....

F3AR dont derank just do custom games. Because your making it worse for 3 more players.

Also deranking at 30, thats when people are serious. when people are deranking, they take away from other peoples experience. People at 25 want to get to 30. with you on their team they are just getting slowed down, possibly discouraged. i hope i made my point.

it would be nice to boot people after so many suicides, i don't mind accidents but if its on purpose bye...i hate when a kid keeps trying to bounce only to fall to their death...but i guess if they did that people would just figure out how many they could get away with and stop there. but de-leveling is lame!!!

Well this would just create an even bigger problem !!........

Say for example your the red team and get a good lead of about 10. You could arrange for your team to just commit suicide over and over again until the end of game, giving the blue team no chance of a comeback. Your suggestion of suicides not taking points away would create this problem, so NO !

Deleveling is quite fun. You all should try it sometime. It's a nice way to pass some time.

  • 07.16.2007 4:43 PM PDT

I agree. go to MM with 4 good buddies that way the only one stuck with a De-ranker is them

  • 07.16.2007 4:46 PM PDT

You Delevelers make me sick. here are people trying to win and get better and all you-blamers!- do is kill yourself.
if you want to die sooooo bad go to a custom game.

OR

go -blam!- yourself

Such harsh words. But why would I delevel in a custom game? What's the point in that? In MM I can actually 1) Lower my level and 2) Get some fun reactions.

deleveling =/= pure suiciding

Suiciding is the least fun way of doing it. There are SOOOOO many more (and better) options.
