I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.

RIP Halo 2.

The update was a general backwards compatibility update and did not affect Halo 2. Any changes you see are either the placebo effect or sheer coincidence.

that is the emulation software messing up, I guess you could format your hard drive and install the emulator again...

RIP Halo 2.

The software itself is what causes the issue, there is nothing wrong on his end.

Do you have a source for this? To my knowledge, the update addressed other games. I saw no mention of updated emulation for Halo 2.

RIP Halo 2.

That message would've shown up no matter what Xbox 1 game you put in the system. Also, the official backwards compatibility list does not show Halo 2 as updated.

The background "burning" has existed for a while. I used to (haven't in a while) have it happen all the time.

RIP Halo 2.

Going to the dashboard and then starting Halo 2 again will also get rid of it.
