CE>REACH>2 3 <----- LOL

not everyone can do it just like bxr some people don't know how thats why its cheating!! BUNGIE KID LOGIC FTW..

jk though its perfectly legit just like bxb/bxr etc.. the manual doesnt say you can nade rockets off either or bxr/bxb.... just something you learn

  • 07.16.2007 4:01 PM PDT

OMG I can't believe I forgot about this tactic.
I played Hardcore alot before the update and used this all the time but now I've just rushed to sniper and been blown away by a rocket waiting for me.

BTW thankyou for reminding me about this.

You are a mindless idiot.

Regardless, no it's not a glitch. It is using the physics (the force created by the exploding grenade) to launch the rockets your way. If you know where to stand and at what angle to thrown the nade from, kudos to you, you deserve those rockets. Go for it if you can pull it off.

You know when you spawn in blue base in beaver creek and can get the rockets to the front of your base by standing on the br spawn, aiming at a certain star and lobbing a grenade thus giving the blue team both rockets and snipe at the start of the game. Would you consider this cheating or is it fair to do (even though red team can't do it.)

Sorry wrong forum please move this.

BxR and BxB are not legit, they are exploiting a glitch in the game and it is cheating but it is hard to detect and ban people for it. The only excuse for using them is that they require skill and last time i checked, cheating = no skill. No matter what the all mighty MLG says.

Out of curiosity, why do you capitalize 'B' & 'R', but not 'x? 'x' is just as big as 'B' and 'R' -- without it you couldn't do the glitch.

Not that I've ever done these things, of course!

And cheating does take skill, just a sleazy kind, you know?

I make the x lower case because my caps lock button over heats and if i hold the shift key for more then half a second my computer blows up [/sarcasm]

its a reflex idk.

Yea, it is sleazy skill.

wowwww.. they are legit and do require skill hense why if you ever watch a pro vid or montage you will most likely see them bxr/ dbl shot .. and bungie hasnt and will never ban someone for using them not because its hard to detect but because its a flaw in their game.. just like people will find flaws in halo 3.. you just have to learn to use them to your advantage

Get your facts straight buddy. They will ban people if they are given enough feedback for using them but of course, its hard to detect if people do it.

They WILL and can ban people for them because it is a flaw in their game, like superbounces. Its a glitch that can be used to an unfair advantage which makes it cheating.

Cheating = not legit, and sure i know how to do them but i do not use them in MM.

Sure it takes skill, but like the guy above my last post said, its sleazy skill.

PEOPLE WHO LISTEN TO MLG/PROS FAIL FTW

What you are talking about is a strategy not a glitch. If what you are doing is just an aimed toss with a grenade, regardless of what you use as an aiming reference, it's legitimate. what it does is just responding to the programmed game physics. It's the same as tossing a nade into the wheel hub on Zanzibar to deny the opposing team from getting it first. All's fair in love and war.

Here's one. Just because you CAN grab the flag through the floor on coagulation, should you?

I do think however that in multi-flag CTF if you take the other teams flag and camp with it in an out of the way place where they can't retrieve it or score IS in my book cheating.

I wouldn't exactly call it a skill to look at a star and throw a grenade

You people have just sent my sides into orbit. A bunch of MLG try hards sucking the dick of some supposed pro half the thread hasn't even heard of. Classic.

This is not a thread about BXR, superbouncing, or MLG. Next person I catch taking it that way will be blacklisted.

No, that's not a glitch or an exploit. In fact it was a major tactic in Halo 1 because the weapons went flying when you naded them. That doesn't really happen in Halo 2, but they do move a bit and that one there is the only place you can truly use it.

I know it's physics but my question is, did bungie intentionally put it there and in doing so unbalance the map in favour of the blue team (ctf) or red team (slayer) or is it unintentional in which case using it could be considered an exploit.

Its a strange one because I can't see the map designers wanting to unbalance a map like that but it is also perfectly normal for grenades to send things flying.

Maybe you can get the snipe from inside the red base??

It isn't a glitch, nor did Bungie intentionally plan for someone to do that.

It simply is a clever tactical trick ,if you will, to gain a slight advantage.

I'd say this was unfair, however, you're using nothing but the game and its physics, so, there's nothing wrong here; it's not classified as cheating.

EDIT: It is, however, exploiting the fact that you can have an advantage during the game. Still not cheating though.

thats definitely not the only place to use it. for example... throw a frag grenade up to the sniper on lockout causing it and the barrel orbs to blow up and stand right out by the library entrace and voilla, you have the sniper

That was an unnecessary contribution to the thread, FatDaddy. No one wanted to know about other locations for that methodical trick. Read the subject title, the topic here is very much self-explanatory.

If this was my forum, I'd declare this thread locked because it has reached a conclusion. However, it's not mine, I'm simply hinting to the Ninjas.

SPOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!

Bungie does not consider 'nade pointing to be cheating. In my mind, that makes it a legitimate tactic for now. I don't use it though.

Achilles warned you about going down the button glitches/super bounces road. Bungie and xbox live considers both to be cheating, and anyone advocating them on these forums is then advocating cheating. Stop discussing it.

  • 07.17.2007 8:27 PM PDT

RIP Halo 2.

It's not cheating, it's using the game's physics to achieve a goal. Something I like to do is use grenades in Oddball games. If I can't make it to the ball before someone else does or without putting myself in the line of fire, I can usually throw a grenade behind the ball to send it flying towards me.

Lol. Thats so cool, just bouncing the oddball towards yourself and scoring a few seconds. xD
