Zanzibar is a multiplayer level in halo 2.....and i found out it is a real place...Zanzibar is an island in the Indian Ocean about 25 miles from the Tanzanian coast. I noticed that the level Zanzibar in halo 2 seemed a little bit like a beach and it had an island atmosphere. It looks like the maps in Halo 2 will be similar to real live places. This is pretty obvious, since Halo 2 will be based on Earth, but i think it's cool that they used real names and real places.

here is the website that talks about Zanzibar (the real place)
www.zanzibar.net

I have known it was a real place for a long time. Bungie wont just make up a random place for the game. The like their environments to have a bit of history.

Remember, in that poster shown at E3, a lot of people thought that that asian bank was what was in the background

I'm hoping, personally, for a level taking place around the Statue of Liberty; Elites climbing up the side of it, with a thunderstorm going on?

Beautiful...

Although the Xbox does not have the processing power for what I'd like to see, I'm gonna tell you anyways cause I'm bored.

New York City at 2300 hours. A mass evacuation is underway, with civilian cars slamming into each other at crazy velocities, and a heavy rain is pouring. Then a bolt of lightning lights up the night sky and for a split second you see a Covenant dropship (the huge kind) hovering between the mile-high skyscrapers. You start in Manhattan, but must cross the Brooklyn Bridge historial site while SpecOps Elites are jetpacking in through the glass dome surrounding it. Once in Brooklyn, you find a squad of heavily armed civlians to help you, even as the first plasma bolts incinerate the warehouses directly behind you. Hovercars are taking off and being shot down, people are running in all directions, teams of Jackals backed up by Elites are clearing the streets, and halved skyscrapers are coming down like gigantic spears all around you.

Objective: Kill those Covie muthaf***as!
