Its ok to explain how to keep the weapons, i think most people who have played enough halo already know that. what i think is really important in double team is getting the weapons back, or learning how to attack together to win them back.
One general tip that i have found out is to stay calm, you have like 15 minutes per game, so 5 minutes of crouching around the map, sneaking up on people wont hurt too much.
Another tip would be to have one person crouch, and try and get behind the oppenent. The other team mate then starts a charge attack wile the crouching team mate attacks from behind, this usually works well.
Do not just keep running in one person after the next, because they will just over power you 2 to 1 every time.
Beaver Creak - Best tip i could give you is, get those power weapons first. If you spawn in the trench under rocks spawn, aim at the halo ring and throw a grenade, it should bounce of the rock wall, land on the rockets and they should fall into the trench, you can then run up to help sniper out. If you cant get the power weapons, get noob combo (BR and plasma pistol) and crouch attack them, or wait for them to come to you.
Lockout - Depends who you play, try and get rid of the plasma pistol, use it or bin it so the other team wont use it against you. Allot of people like to hold BR tower, but make sure you explode the barrels before going up there, i personally like to hold Sniper tower by having sniper and a BR (sometimes shotgun) and my partner having sword and BR, try and hold for as long as possible, if you loose weapons and have the lead, let them come to you.
Ivory tower - Watch out for sniper in the palm trees, always catches people out, sometimes they hang around the platform by the trees as well. For this map, its about power weapons again, just try and hold them as long as possible, team work is the key. Get one person to snipe, and the other person to watch his back, the sniper should try and pick off the opposition as they spawn.
My last tip would be the use of communication, thats why you have a mic in the first place. To succeed in DT you really need a good partner, some one you get one with, and some one who thinks the same way. You need to learn the maps, know your weapon spawns and name sections of the map for easy navigation. e.g. "There's a guy at B2".
Best of luck in double team, and hopefully play you guys soon!
