When playing halo 2 campaign on my xbox360 I sometimes experience 'burn-ins' of certain thing of the game, such as the silhouette of an elite, trees, previously held weapons, etc. I dont know if anybody else has posted a similar topic or had a similar problem. I was just curious if I was the only one with this problem.

You using a CRT or Plasma sounds like the problem. Uneven phosphor wear if it is the latter.

At first I thought the burn-ins were on the tv screen too. But, further investigation showed that the burn-ins were directly in the game. Objects of the games would move freely infront and behind the burn-in, as if it has a fixed position on my screen. Its not a big deal, but it can get really annoying at times. I've never had this problem online.

It is caused by an emulator problem in the 360. It is because you are playing an xbox game on an xbox 360, the backwards compatability is what causes this. There is nothing wrong with your 360, to get rid of it all you have to do is restart your xbox.

yeah it does happen..........depends on what TV your using.

It happens to me sometimes when playing online on certain maps with lockout being the most often. I will get a silhouette across my screen and it will get worse depending on which way ( top, bottom, left or right ) im looking. Its rare though but it does happen.

Yeah, this is nothing to do with your TV and all to do with the 360 software that runs old xbox games. Everyone gets it at some point. I had it the last time I played campaign. I used to see it in multiplayer occasionally (backwash seemed to provoke it a lot) but haven't seen it for ages now.
