Trying something once will increace your chances of success, because you tried it. Try someting twice, and your chances increase yet again - seeing as you've done it. Try something a few thousand times, and your chances of success is exponentially increased; this increase would likely provide success every time

Well, long story short, I blacklisted myself =D. But hey, you gotta do what you gotta do to see something new. Anyway, before today, you could not ban yourself, it would not allow you. Saying something along the lines of 'You are not permitted to banning this user, well it lies. The other thing that I find odd, is that from what I hear, when you are blacklisted you are still able to view a forum. Yet, I cannot view the forum, even though I am blacklisted. So I ask you, an old bug making a comeback? Or is it a new bug forming?

Yes, I know, curiosity got the best of me. Besides, I like finding bugs.

I am pretty sure you could always ban yourself. That is why you shouldn't try to do it lol.

No, you were never able to. Hence the reason why I posted this.

I just tried to ban myself and it didn't let me, so I don't know what happened when you tried it.

If you have full control in a group you can't get banned. If you are mod but don't have full control you can so perhaps that is what Rokit is refering too.

Banned members (from groups or the public forums) can still view the forums, but not create/reply to threads.

The previous instance of bans (where a member could not look into a group, or view the public forums) was considered a bug, that was addressed with the latest hotness.

If a group admin wishes a member to not interact/view the group, they need to kick them out of the group.

I understand that, completely. I just find it odd that, when this happened, not only did I ban myself, I was also unable to view the forums. Which is why I named the thread title as such.

I am just referring to banning myself, all together. Full control users, can be banned, but only by other Full Control users.

Yea, by then it wasn't fixed yet. It was fixed in about the middle of the January, and it seems like the bug has returned.
