This isn't going to settle the debate. This is just going to move the "Button Combos are cheating" and "Button combos are NOT cheating" people into here for them to argue LOL

But, as according to the Terms of Use, it's cheating because it's a glitch.

You won't get banned for doing it unless you get feedback left on you. The chances of that happening are very very very slim (but still there nonetheless.)

If you don't condone glitches, stay out of Team Hardcore, as that's inevitably the list where it's bound to happen to you.

Otherwise, glitching is up to you.

That's............about it, I guess.

Death will unfortunatly come to this thread...

But, Button Glitches are cheating, along with superjumping.

Using a button glitch to gain an unfair advantage over your oppenent is cheating, though not a bannable offense(unless many people leave feedback on you). Same goes with super jumping. And Bungie has yet to update the FAQ

RIP Halo 2.

Isn't the only reason Bungie prohibits it because the XBL terms of use prohibit the use of any glitches to gain an unfair advantage? Doesn't that leave it very open to debate whether or not doing a glitch that anyone can do really gives you an "unfair advantage?" Personally, I can't see how doing something everyone else is capable of doing is giving me an "unfair advantage." Also, the XBL ToU does not specify the glitches as being safe for unranked games, technically you're still violating them in a custom game. The terms are really vague and open to interpretation because of the "unfair advantage" clause there. One could argue spawn trapping as cheating, as well as picking up cloned weapons after the host quits.

People who get mad at getting BxR or RRXd are just pissed because their little nubby fingers can't move fast enough...
