The modern generation is more concerned with the achievement of joy than in the joy of achievement.

All of the above.

I dont really have an explanation, but if you are good at everything on that list, you seem to me like pretty much a pro. Just because you use button glitches doesnt take away from being a pro.

  • 07.18.2007 10:47 PM PDT

1, 2, and 5. And of course, being able to execute those properly under extreme circumstances. A real pro would be able to be unpredictable all of the time and suprise people.

RIP Halo 2.

Teamwork, BR, knowledge of maps, setups, strategy, and consistency.

Where's sniping? Some people are only good at that, and they are very good at it...

Not me though, don't worry.

Where's knowing how to use a PP to get 6 kills every time?

I think either of those are more important than knowing how to drive a Warthog...

Those too, I completely agree.

To literally be a Halo 2 professional, you have to go to events, and place well in them. Going to one event and doing well doesn't make you pro, but going to mulitple events and consistently placing makes you pro.

And if you keep doing really well you may land a sponsor or an MLG contract and make money.

Being good at this game (mastery of shooting, tactics, teamwork, etc, etc), but not going to events makes you an above average player. A "beast."

And aren't the "beasts" all the same? At least the ones I've seen.

I've seen two (and only two so far) who are good at everything above stated. Guys who can get no-scope head shots with the sniper every time you see them...

They played the exact same way, (although one spoke a lot more than the other), and won every game they played...

To be a pro you have to have II, XX, or Oo's surrounding your name. You also have to be in a major clan like KSI or XGC or MOB. Also whatever you do, you have to constantly talk trash, even if you know your opponents already muted you. I'm already a super amateur semi pro, so take heed my advice.

Made-up example:
KSI xX iTz pR0 - "omg dude i totally almost doubleshotted this kid one time. like he wuz n elite and standing still and a guest but liek the first half of my doubleshot hit his foot when I was standing still. i also beat these elitez in team slayer and got my level 22 in 400 gamez i'm so proz0r and pwn all u dumb kidz lolz"

The point of this post was to make it extremely obvious to everyone that Done DL was being sarcastic. I know someone would've taken him seriously and responded.

The "beasts" (people would could beat everyone of us at anything and know it) trash talk rarely.

They don't have to, they know how good they are and show you how bad you are by destroying you..

Hold on a sec, I'll edit this with an example...

Just being all around good at the game. It should not matter what weapon, or vehicle you have you should be able to kill or at least do some serious damage to the other team.

A pro?
I think of hands that are constantly lodged in a BXR position.

Pro is short for professional. Therefore a Halo 2 pro is someone who makes their income playing Halo 2. Nobody else qualifies.

I definately agree with you. Pros have to be prepared for anything and everything under any circumstance
