It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

What are "perl" groups?

Groups had a much different structure, you basically had about 10 different types of DBs, and could hack the piss out of them allowing you to arrange and customize multiple aspects of the groups. They also had an activity percentage monitor, and a 3 column setup, and a threaded forum.

I wanted Achronos to bring them back, but progress, fitting with the rest of the site, etc.

I still think they were superior to either the last or current group type.

Ever since Halo CE I've prowled around here, including in the forums.
That activity increased for Halo 2.
Nine months ago, I signed up here and linked my Gamertag. So that technically answers the question. But I've been here for much longer (just not contributing).

OK, yes, it is very true that I'm a dumb ass. I'm not denying that. However, isn't the whole point of a beta to increase the amount of users until you get someone dumb enough to try something you haven't anticipated.
Johnrap - Unofficial Dumbass of Halo 3 Beta

I started my old account "Zuka Zamammee" <- can't remember if I spelled that right, 5/5/2004. I got this account becuase I couldn't seem to link my gamertag to my bungie.net account when I migrated from xbox to xbox360.

Anyways I think I remember 3 iterations of this website, in terms of design and appearance.

Edit: long enough to remember this

I came about the forums because of halo 2, but I was never active. When I heard about halo 3 last summer I decided to become more active. Like most people I was a very naughty child on the H3 forums in my beginning. As time went on I became a more mature poster. I rarely spend any time at the H3 forum, mostly here...where its safe....
