Bungie has addressed the glitches, and they decided that the potential problems that a patch would create far outweighed the problems that the glitches are causing right now. They can't fix the glitches, because they are too deep in the code, or they'll cause a mess of other problems.
As for your concern with the lack of attention being paid to Halo 2, you're free to have your own opinion. If you think that Bungie has abandoned it, okay then. They're making another game, which as most of us can understand takes priority over an older game. That's the way the world works sometimes.
Seeing as how we don't allow button glitch discussions in this forum, that negates one portion of what this topic is about. Leaving this topic with only 2 discussable points. The lack of attention to Halo 2, which is discussable, but its somewhat pointless to complain about it, because of what I said earlier. And the "Halo 3 better not be like Halo 2" comment, which is simply off topic in this forum.
So, I'm going to lock this, because there is nothing left to discuss.
