Yeah man, you gotta get it in to Microsoft ASAP. They can take a while with things like that. I had to send in my original xbox for a "hardware malfunction" and it took them over a month to send me a new one. Do it quick.

shoot, i was hoping i would of gotten it this week. What a hope smasher. I heard that after you send it in, they do some "extra" stuff to it to make it even better. Atleast i can look forward to that :)

Hey DiabolicSniper, the customer rep i talked to told me that the biggest mistake people make for the 3 rings of death is that you plug your cord into a Surge Protector. The 360 grey big box is a surge protector itself, so plugging it into a long outlet strip (with surge protection) will slowly ruin the internals of your 360 because they aren't getting enough power. He told me to plug it right into a wall, and that decreases the chances of the 3 red lights of death by 95%. Maybe try that if you're doing that?

Ive heard that too. So when i get mine back i am going to plug it into the wall and keep it really cool. I have this sweet clear green case with LED lights that i want to put onto it but im worried about it breaking again. Maybe if i do these tips it will last forever. My bro got his 360 free through that Mt. Dew giveaway and hasnt had any problems. I paid for mine and of course mine breaks

lol that's awesome your bro got it from that mt dew thing. do you really think keeping it cool is part of the problem? i thought i kept mine decently cool (there's even an airconditioner next to it) but i guess i'll have to try a different spot

Yeah keeping it cool definately helps cuz they overheat easy. I saw a case online that you can get that has LED lights that change color depending on how hot your 360 gets. I wouldnt go that far but i did buy an intercooler to hook in the back of mine.

You think it got what it takes to be..?.

God forbid you send me one of those I was checking for cool gamers and saw you messages too, I will scream to the top of my lungs and smash this damn screen/BlackBerry to pieces! You've been warned -_-

^ True, intercoolers will mess up your Xbox 360 for good. I wuld recommend keeping it as far away from the TV as possible. I'm still trying to plan another place for it.

nooo dont do that. Think of it this way, there are already the 2 biggest fans they can fit on the back of the 360, getting optimal air circulation in there. Adding a big bulky thing to the back of those fans and replacing it with 3 smaller ones isn't helping anything. i actually think that they would hurt it because they wont spin fast enough or have enough mass to get air moving

hahaha! GREAT idea Diabolic!!! i have a new college fridge i was using for the dorms but i just moved into an apartment 7 months ago. i should just use that for a place to put my 360 in!

The intercooler can leave burn marks on the back of the 360 if it malfunctions, and if it does you can kiss your warranty goodbye. The intercooler is not a Genuine Microsoft product and will void your warranty if they find out you have one. If your 360 is getting hot enough to need an intercooler, you need to move it to a place with better ventilation. 360's dont have any problem keeping cool they just need to be ventilated properly.

Okay, this is totally non Halo related but I need help. See, I have a xbox 360 and a month ago my 360 got busted and it rarely was working and

this would start to happen to my 360

its called a hardware malfunction and I know microsoft extended its warranty to 3 years but I need to know if theres anything I can do it make it stop. I have only done one thing to make it work and its the Towel trick which means you leave it on for 30min with a towl wrapped around it. That worked, BUT only for about a day. Then If I try it again it would only work for about 10 hours then 8 hours etc.

Anybody know what to do or can look something up for me, that would really help, thanks
