I've gotten to that point where Halo and Halo 2 have kind of run their courses for me. The only real thrill I get from it these days is playing multiplayer, and sometimes co-op.
But co-op is beginning to annoy me. Not because of the game itself, but the people it's played with. I know the Halo and Halo 2 campaigns like the back of my hand, but not everyone else does. So, due to that, I can be picky when choosing who I am going to play with.
I don't tend to enjoy playing co-op with new players as much as older ones. Why? Because with a new player, I have to teach them how to play, get them used to it, and even after that, every time I go off their screen, they shout "Where did you go?!", when most times, I just moved to a different part of the room, or I went behind them, or something like that.
And (especially with younger kids) then there's the fact that they tend to have no idea what is happening in the game. They either don't listen to the dialogue in the game, or just don't care, so I have to spend time telling them what we're doing, and how to do it, when they could have just paid attention.
That's why I prefer to play with more seasoned Halo-ers. They know what's happening to some degree, and though they may not know exactly what to do, or where to go, they have some idea, and they actually give a crap.
